mobb_deep 920 Posted July 15, 2009 This is a NON PPR FLEX LEAGUE (RR,RB,WR,WR,RB/WR) PICK 3 Brenda Jacobs Mike Turner Ronald Brown Darren McFadden Ray Rice Anquan Boldin I've been set on Jacobs, Turner and Brown... but I'm starting to consider McFadden or even Rice, instead of Brown. What say you?
BAKE 0 Posted July 15, 2009 Ronald Brown as in Ronnie Brown for MIA or Donald Brown for IN. If its Donald Brown, yes I would go with McFadden over Brown and even Rice, whom is sharing carries with McGahee. If its Ronnie Brown he is ranked higher than Mcfadden, and like you replied back to me regarding Mcfadden: Its Oakland. flexnfx 0 Posted July 16, 2009 I would go with: 1. Boldin (he'll be pissed and out to prove something to the teams that didn't trade for him) 2. Turner 3. McFadden (but am tempted by Rice...just don't trust the Baltimore week to week start decisions)

That would leave me really thin on my 3rd RB. I do love Boldin though!
We Tigers 71 Posted July 17, 2009 I'd be tempted to go with Boldin as well, unless you think you can get a big-time WR in the first round. It would be great to have your three RBs, but you probably want to start off with a little more balance across your positions so you can grab value if a stud WR or RB goes back into the pool or a good player falls early. Much as I love McFadden as a flex, Jacobs/Turner/Boldin is a very solid core with huge TD potential.

mobb_deep 920 Posted July 17, 2009 Appreciate the responses. To be honest, Boldin was just an after thought. In a 12 team NON-PPR league, with the option to start 3 RB's, pretty much every team will be keeping all RB's. Ofcourse guys like Randy Moss, Fitz and Andre Johnson will be kept. I'd be looking at guys like Boldin, Welker, Roddy, Colston, Jennings, Marshall, etc as the likely options for WR1.
Bishop82 61 Posted July 17, 2009 I'd go with Ronnie Brown, he is playing for a new contract. Bolden, who I really like, I would stay away from because I think the cardinals will be bad this year. The whole "Super Bowl loser curse" thing, I just don't think Warner will have a good year which will effect Bolden.

If you're keeping that many it could make sense to grab Brees/Brady if one of them is available at the outset as well. I prefer balance, but I see the appeal of holding Ronnie or McFadden if 30 backs are being held.
