Too Many WR's!

Recommended Posts

Let's start here; I have:

DeSean Jackson vs. TB

Steve Smith (NYG) vs. OAK

Pierre Garcon vs. TEN

Nate Burleson vs. JAC

Wes Welker vs. DEN

I'm starting DeSean Jackson no matter what. I need 2 more receivers; 1 for my other WR, the other for my flex because I don't trust my RB's this week (SJax vs. MIN, Turner vs. SF, Benson vs. BAL, Leon Washington vs. MIA, and I'm already forced to start two of them already).

I want to play Steve Smith but:

A.) He's going to be covered by Asomugha.

B.) Eli might not play.

If Eli doesn't go, I can't play Steve Smith right?

Then I have to play Wes Welker and Pierre Garcon right?

Help me please! I'm lost! Too many combinations!

Leave a link, I'll help you too.

Well first of all if Eli plays don't worry about Nnamdi Asomugha because he stays on the right side of the formation and the Giants' receivers move around constantly, so don't worry about the shutdown corner zeroing out Mario Manningham or Steve Smith.

What you have to worry about is whether or not Eli Manning (foot) plays, expect a decidedly run-heavy mindset from Giants OC Kevin Gilbride. Oakland's secondary has given up just four TDs (fifth fewest among teams that have played four games), and the Giants won't risk Eli aggravating his injury or backup David Carr throwing often against the league's No. 11 pass defense.

Insight from Rotoworld.

With that said, I'd play Garcon and Welker this week for sure.

Thanks for answering my post.

Assuming this is not a ppr, I would bench Welker. He has the lingering knee issue and really is IMO overrated in non ppr leagues. I think you start Djax, Smith, and Garcon.

Every week an owner of the #1 on the team that plays Oakland talks about Asomugha. He is ALWAYS on the right side as the poster above stated. If Eli plays, start Smith over Welker.

Like the others have said, don't worry about coverage on Smith. The only thing that'll effect him is if Eli doesn't play. I don't trust Welker coming back from the injury, and Denver's defense is surprisingly good. Burleson is a bit of a wild card. He can go off or be completely invisible.

I still go with DJax, Smith, and Garcon.

I'd go with Welker and Garcon. Welker looked healthy last week, and the Indy passing attack is firing on all cylinders. The Tennessee pass defense is awful; if Garrard and a bunch of nobody receivers can carve them up, Peyton is going to murder them

Thanks for mine.
