Bills Buff

Romo Trade

Recommended Posts

I've got Matt Schuab and Tony Romo as my QBs (as well as Alex Smith).

My RBs are Chris Johnson, Ryan Grant, Kevin Smith, Johnathon Stewart, Darren McFadden and Jamaal Charles (who is now relevant).

An owner has offered me David Garrard, Marshawn Lynch, and Freddie Jackson for Romo and Grant as well as a 2nd round pick for next year.

His team is 1-6 and he seems rather desperate.

He does have MJD and Donald Driver but I doubt he'd be willing to give up either at this point in a dynasty league.

Thoughts? (My WRs are Fitzy, Calvin Johnson, Donnie Avery, Piere Garcon, Malcom Floyd, Mushin) (And I also have 3 1st round draft picks for next year)

I do not have much experience with the trading of draft picks, so my input may not be real helpful. However the 3rd round pick next year needs to be of high value, because on the basis of players that are being traded this year he is getting the best 2 players. Based on your WR position, I would try and get Driver in the deal somehow. Maybe Romo for Garrard and Driver?? I think with the uncertainty of Mega this year you could really improve your team with a stronger compliment to Fitz.

Good luck

I just countered his offer with Romo and Grant, along with 2 1st rounders next year for Garrard and MJD.

I don't think he'll accept, but I just wanted to throw it out there to get a feel for what direction he wants to go in.

Any chance you could put your line up requirements and point system?

If you have 3 first round picks I would see if there is anyway of getting MJD by using 1. But I do not like the buffalo offense right now so I don't think I would do the current deal. The GB OL is getting better each game so Grant I think could become more consistent as well.

Remember dynasty:

QB: Romo, Schaub, A. Smith

RB: Chris Johnson, K. Smith, R. Grant, J. Stewart, D. McFadden, J. Charles, R. Jennings

WR: Ca Johnson, Fitzgerald, Avery, Muhammad, Gracon, M. Floyd

TE: Witten, K. Boss

K: Crosby, Reed

D/ST: Chargers, Falcons

Points system:

6 pts for all TDs

.10 pts for every yard gained by RBs and WRs (ex. 10 yards = 1 pt, 11 yards = 1.1 pts)

.25 for every reception

1 pt for every 25 yard for QBs

We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex

I don't think this trade really makes you better. Lynch is really good but Buffalo is a wasteland for fantasy talent this season and Garrard and Freddie JAckson are downgrades from the players you are giving up. No brainer.

I concur it dosent make you better and even though you get jackson you can only start one of them so it basically Garrard and Lynch for a much better but upredictable Romo and a stock rising player in Grant who is in alot better situation in GB. So both down grades in my opinion besides the draft picks.

mine

I completely agree with this. You have a very nice team and shouldn't "trade-down." In fact, if the other guy is doing so poorly, the trading should probably be the other way around. I would only trade Romo and Grant if you could get a stud (MJD) in return with draft picks...
