Well, Carr also likes to throw to his checkdown receiver. so I do think he continues to catch balls unless a better option exists on the team. I dont think I touch the guy in standard leagues, but in PPR he still has reasonable value if you get him at the right price. Full Disclosure: I dont know that I'm wanting to take a chance on him myself, but I dont blame someone for grabbing the guy if he can get him at the price of an RB2. In PPR thats pretty solid value even if his game slips some.

that's the thing isnt it. when a RB is highly productive and has those metrics you speak of, its really hard to show him the bench. Lots of time when you have a young player, they may produce as a backup so you ramp up their playing time and the metrics fall off a bit. but Kyren has good metrics and they ran the hell out of him. you dont bench that. you may ease up on the playing time by getting a Quality backup. but this is done to avoid injury. and a third round pick does not usually replace a starter in year 1. At least not a productive starter. Year 2 or 3 he might but that would be as kyren Williams is getting closer to signing a big money contract that the team doesnt want to pay. the only way this kid gets 50% of the carries is if Kyren Williams gets hurt or is ineffective. I dont think he will be ineffective and given last season I could see them giving him a reasonable leash if he is. Williams wont drop below 60% of the carries unless he gets hurt or isnt playing well. you can take that to the bank. but you wont see Williams getting much more than 65% of the rush attempts anymore even if hes lighting it on fire. Corum was drafted to ease that burden(and he will)

for me hes a late round (or late auction) lotto ticket. he may pan out but probably wont. not without an injury to Rhamandre. if you own Rhamandre, I'd say hes a good late round handcuff who can step in and produce in the event of an injury. -
I wouldnt go that far. Kyren is still the starter, and Corum has to develop more of his game before hes ready to displace him. but he will take some touches away from him and thats why I dont draft him at his ADP. I dont think that is being taken into account. to be clear this isnt a criticism of Corum. but hes likely next years guy. (or possibly the year after if Kyren puts up another huge year)

4.1 yards per carry last year in limited use. similar to his one good year. but all that being said, when they gave Rhamandre that contract that's like telling Antonio to take a seat. you dont pay a player that type of cash and then not play him. Gibson is the clear number 2. -
I would be very surprised if you got him. most ADP lists I see have him going in the top 3 rounds. top 2 in standard leagues

you could be right. but that defense was designed with a Belicheck scheme in mind. lots of guys from his defenses leave to other teams and dont perform as well in a different scheme. while I dont think the defense will be terrible, I dont think they will be as good as they were last year. only exception is if the offense increases their performance and can stop the defense from spending 65% of the game on the field. in that scenario the Defense may improve its measurable numbers simply by not being on the field. -
too many people will look at what he did last year and draft accordingly. those in the know may avoid paying top dollar for him but the rest wont. good value is relative. I think his adp rises some but not enough to make him what you would call good value.

makes sense. I guess in the sense of this, London likely has more long term value than Waddle. There is a chance Waddle may out perform him this year(especially if Cousins misses some time) That said, the difference shouldnt be large.....and if it happens, this may be the last year it happens. in keeping with long term value, London is the guy I would keep.
-
I am surprised the cost to Keep London is so high. I think London presents higher upside but also more risk if cousins cannot play. hes also still not a fully proven commodity but I do think his numbers will take a big jump now that he has a starting calibre pro QB tossing him the ball. what makes me cringe is that you have to pay more to keep him than Waddle. that doesnt entirely make sense to me. either way.... its mostly a matter of preference. I do think that if cousins and London both play the whole year, London should outperform Waddle. but factoring in the risks, this is a tough call as there is still a chance Cousins may not play week 1 (though I still think he probably plays). But London has way more upside now and could possibly break into the top 10 if things fall right. Something that wont likely happen with Waddle. I probably would swing for the fences and keep London. but most people would likely tell you to stick with Waddle. London does cost more but not by a lot. and Waddle is not entirely without Risk. a year ago lots of people were avoiding Tua because they felt he was one concussion away from being out of the league. that risk still exists. but the recency bias has people likely ignoring that.

ok I'd rather keep Goff at $4 than Singletary at $3. anytime you can get a starter at qb at this price you should take it. Not that I'm huge on Goff but you throw him back you are unlikely to get him back that cheap at auction after the season he just had. but I do understand keeping singletary as he is penciled in to be a starter. so thats not a dealbreaker for me either. I have no issues with you keeping CMC. he produced last year, and hes not a guy you let go of unless your team is not going to be competitive. mostly its just a matter of preferences. you have a reasonably good pool of potential keepers. not worried about you filling out your WR on your roster. the depth at WR is pretty good now. you can fill it up with 1 and 2 dollar players who will be just fine at WR3.
-
depends on the league. this may actually be a know your league thing. if everyone and their dog maxes out RB's you may be hard pressed to get someone better for cheaper. I dont mind keeping him at $3. but at the same time I also dont know what other choices he had. he also has AJ brown and Waddle too. AJ at $17 is likely a good deal too. referring to this, just getting clarification. total budget is $200? if that is the case, you are in good shape. if total budget is $100 its a tougher sell. I guess you can get a QB on the cheap(it an be done but your options are limited) and a couple cheapie WR and be fine. (WR3's are a dime a dozen and if you spend wisely you can fill out the rest of your roster with $1 and $2 and $3 players. Realistically the only position you really need to spend money on likely is QB. your WR are good enough and your RB are top notch (assuming good health) I might want to look for a decent WR 3/4 in case of injury as CMC hasnt always been healthy.
-
this is a solid RB room I know everyone loves WR but there are always good wr available for reasonable dollars. ideally you pay for one good WR and get the others later in the auction when the money has run low for a lot of people. you likely can work with what you got at RB. its just a matter of filling out the rest of the roster if you are at that point. some would argue to spend on WR and go cheap on QB. that strategy can work too but it largely depends on the rules and the scoring and how many roster spots you start at WR.

no doubt. I'd look at her over a fat old guy 100% of the time. I think its good for the game that the swifties have all become football fans. honestly the only way for the NFL to expand the game further is to get more female viewers. sure I guess they can expand to another city or two but at some point the talent gets diluted to a point where the quality of the pro game wills start to suffer. this is the most logical course to growing the game. and we will have to live with it. the NFL isnt gonna shut this down to please a couple of trolls who hate Taylor Swift. The ownership wants the money and if all the swifties watch the ratings are probably a point or two higher than if they dont. thats significant in terms of the amount of cash they get for ad revenue.

yeah I dont know if train wreck is the word I'd use. as mentioned earlier they were a top 10 offense. I'd agree they underachieved. when I think of train wreck offenses I think of Chicago from (I think 2 years ago) or the Rams before McVay came in. those were train wrecks. this offense can at least move the ball and score. which is more than you can say for the New York offense. You could probably call last years Giants offense a train wreck. O line was hurt/ineffective, QB was hurt/ineffective. Sequon was ok but when the gamescript went negative he was essentially taken out of the equasion. situationally this is far better than the offense he was in last year and the line is better too. Even if he runs the ball less I'm betting his production is better. but given how much the iggles are paying him, I'm pretty sure hes gonna play. he will be good. and better than he was in New York. whether he deserves to be taken in the top 5 or 6 of a redraft is another question. if you pay that much I think you are buying him at his maximum upside. and its not that often that players perform to their max upside. if it happens, its usually once or twice in a career. Is it possible that the guy taking him at 5 overall ends up happy? Sure it is. thats within the possible outcomes. but its more likely the guy taking him that early feels Meh or slightly disappointed. I think he will be a top 10 RB. possibly top 5. but to do much better than that it needs to be a career best. thats what you are betting on if you take him at 5

well, sanders is (and was) a very mediocre back. and he finished 13th. Swift has also struggled to stay healthy but in a committee of sorts he shined in Philly. It looks like they tried to limit his touches (likely due to the injury history) most of his carries by game were in the range of 15 and game 1 he got only one carry. if they give him a fair workload he bumps up. my main concern with Barkley is his health but hes healtier than swift was. I also am concered with his draft position. thats where its tough because a top 10 RB REALLY NEEDs to produce to be worth your pick. I do think Barkley is a good producer. I just dont know that he's #5 or #6 overall good
-
all that shows is Pollard isnt a great red zone RB. Zeke when he played in dallas scored plenty of TD. 2 years ago when he was there he got 12 TD. I'm not sure you'll be thrilled about the yardage, but the TD should be fine. if you can get him for an RB3 price I'd suggest there is good value there. I dont know what his ADP is but thats probably in the ballpark of what I am expecting
-
fully agree. but just as much as pass catching ability matters, it also matters if the QB likes to throw to their RB's. doesnt matter how good the RB is at catching the ball, if the QB isnt looking for him its not gonna matter much. and some QB's just like throwing to their WR/TE.
-
well, I think he gets more TD than 7. hes a red zone beast. its the other stats I'd need to look at critically. and honestly I have not done a lot of work on him. I will at some point but hes not on my hot list haha
-
I liked the pick. in standard leagues I think if hes your RB3 you've done exceptionally well. hes likely the best or second best RB3 taken in the draft. I'd take that all day long. RB3 is underrated in importance because RB's always get injured. this just ensures that you have the bases covered if this happens. good pick
-
he has more value in PPR than any other format. dude does catch passes.
-
no. but hes a nice dynasty pickup. and given this years deep draft at WR and QB you might be able to get him very late. likely into round 3 if your rookie draft goes that deep
-
I win every draft when its done, but by the end of the season, my win rate isnt quite as good haha
-
pretty solid team overall. you did what I did in the July Mock last year and didnt get a great TE. but I like the rest of your team. I feel you got pretty good value on the WR you took beyond round 5. I'd give this an A minus. you likely finish in the top half of the league. Quite probably top 3 or 4 but I think you come just short of winning (which is a pretty good result) in a format thats not best ball, this roster would likely be better as you could trade away some of your excess talent at some positions in mid season to improve yourself at TE and put yourself over the top. either way, still lots to like. well done

and Carr has a reputation for using his checkdown receivers when the play breaks down. so I was pretty sure Kamara was gonna be fine for PPR (and he was) but certainly some RB's are better than others for this. to be clear, Kamara was never an elite Runner. I'm pretty sure hes never had a 1000 yard season rushing the ball. but so many times hed get like 800 + yards rushing along with 500+ receiving along with huge numbers of catches which made him a PPR darling. but hes aged and to some degree after that whole beating incident in Vegas I dont think hes ever really been the same player. maybe it got into his head and affected him on the field. or maybe its something else but hes not been elite for a couple years now. its not just a this year thing.
