As a therapist that works with adolescents, this is absolutely true. Adolescent girls are horrible to each other. They tear each other apart at every turn and social media has only made things ten times worse. I guess it doesn't change much as they get older.

How is this for a stat. Women claim that the are underpaid. Ok. Well who is doing that? 80 percent of all HR functions are female. 71 percent of all recruiters are female. The people who give them their jobs and who set their salary are almost always female. If they have a problem with someone in the company the people they go to....you guessed it. Female. Females do NOT want to see other females get ahead. But they also do not want to see men help other men because that is "not fair"

The funny thing about Clark and the WNBA is that there is a very large segment of the player pool that want her to fail (people like Taurasi, who are jealous), even though she's going to bring the league attention that said players desperately want.  Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

The dirty truth is that no one wants to talk about is that women do not support women.

I believe that transsexuals should be granted full recognition by society as the sex they have chosen with only a few slight exceptions, the ones you listed, I regard my personal reaction to them as a negative flaw on my part, not something I’m proud of, and I would like to see a society that is far more loving and accepting than I have been. And I strongly reject the inference that there is something mentally wrong with these people as ignorant of scientific consensus and frankly bigoted.

Does this sound like JK Rowling’s position to you?

It is great to have beliefs. I believe they are mentally ill and you are an enabler to their illness.

Well, gee, if that is the case, then her comments sure have fooled a lot of people into thinking she is. 😁

Because they CHOOSE to see them that way instead of pro woman like they are actually.  Men are not women. Women are not men. You can not change your gender. If you claim this you are mentally ill or brainwashed by people who are mentally ill.

JK Rowling created a fictional world in her head consisting of magic, mythical creatures, and a potion that allows you to change identities.

But, in spite of her vast imagination, she can’t possibly muster the capacity to accept that maybe, just maybe, gender is a spectrum.

What a sad, weird obsession she has with the trans community. Like why? Just leave them alone.

I see anti-trans Twitter found this post.

My point is that JK Rowling has such a wide imagination but an incredibly closed mind. To invalidate gender science and an entire community with absolute certainty based on fear-mongering tropes is bigoted.

This is nonsense. Being branded a bigot is the lefts only real tool. She stands up for the rights of real women and the left calls her names. She is not anti-trans. She is pro woman. Not men who feel like women. It is a mental illness to think gender is a spectrum.

  6. I am betting heavy on him this  year. I think he could put up 18-20 tds. Once they are near the goal line they are going to use him like a battering ram. Why risk Jackson when you have a fuckingg giant in the backfield who no one is bringing down with that line from within the 5. The ravens had 35 rushes from within the 5 yard line last year. All but 7 were handled by the rbs. Stretch it out to within the 10 and you have 60 carries up for grabs  for him between rbs and the qbs. You give him 60 carries within the 10 and he is going to crush it

  7. Fun fact. Japan is going to be the reason for nuclear meltdown. They have 33 reactors and a population that is not going to be big enough to sustain the workforce needed to keep these reactors going. As they shut down and sea levels rise places like fukushima are going to be completely under water.

Define “produces.”   Jewel Lloyd averaged 25 points per game last year and I’ve never heard of her until I just looked it up right now

Yea but Lloyd did not come with the hype Clark has. She HAS to be averaging like 30 points a game for her hype to stay. 30 points average is the top ever in the WNBA. So she needs a big game every game to keep the spotlight on her. Otherwise people are going to say her game could not translate to the grown ups game. Much like tim tebow

@jonmx knowing which WNBA teams are good is not something I had on my bingo card.

So do we think Clark will actually result in more WNBA viewers (even for just her team’s games) long-term?

If she produces it probably will. If she puts up 8-10 points a night she will be considered a bust and no other woman will get a shoe for many years to come.

  10. This extension makes it even more likely that Dak does not remain a cowboy. Are you really going to pay Dak that type of money when you can just get a rookie on a 5 year affordable deal after you fire the coach and tank in 2025

She was double and triple teamed the whole game

Something that is likely to never change.

The regardless part is correct. I don't know what sort of pro Clark will be exactly, but expecting any rookie to look smooth in competition two weeks after being drafted and assigned a team is just stupid.

Ohhhhh Ok. She was the savior of womens baskeball last week. NOW it is stupid to think she can hit the floor running. OK.

    Sure

2 of 7 from the field, including 1 of 4 from deep, with no rebounds, one assist, and five turnovers in the first half.  She did not do crap till they stopped pressing her. If it was a close game she probably would have scored 8 points.

  13. 2 minutes ago, Hawkeye21 said:

It wasn't terrible but she needs to get those turnovers way down.  She still did pretty well with 20 points.  I was really expecting the Clark to Boston connection to be amazing but they haven't clicked yet.  Her teammates need to catch the damn ball and convert.  I imagine it has to be really hard to gel as a team with such a short offseason.  She's still going to have a good season.

She scored 20 because the other team stopped playing defense. It is like getting excited that a WR put up 57 yards and TD in garbage time when the D is in prevent. You SHOULD be able to do that.

  14. With most of her points coming when the other team stopped pressing her after the game was out of hand she was  5-15 from the field and 4-of-11 from behind the arc. for 20 points and TEN turnovers in a loss? Hey there Tim Tebow.

That Dallas prime time game going for 2 and then going for it again after the ball got moved back to the 5 was all ego call. The SB call was stupid and ego based and smart analytics would have advised against it. Dude is to full of himself and a ahole coach.

He has to know how to walk that line between ultra aggressive and playing for the chance to win. I think that the retool of the defensive backfield he will likely not be put in a position to make that many 4th down calls this year at the end of the game. I really feel like he had to be aggressive because Cam Sutton was such a liability (dak calling him out by name) that he felt he had to win it on offense. Losing that POS sutton and gaining basically a newer, younger, faster DB corps is going to get Detroit to the next level. I am a huge MCDC fan and the truth is the Lions have not had good coaching for a very very long time. He may not be Andy Reid but man I will take him over most of the coaches in the league. Most can not get that fight out of their players. The one thing that baffles me is their lack of attention to the DE. Hutch is awesome and if they got one more player to crush onto the qb it would be great to see.

I’m really starting to like Harrison Butker

He is getting bashed for his beliefs but it is ok to believe and preach about how you are a female if you were born a male.

I disagree. He's certainly the more skilled QB but not necessarily better. Stafford has tunnel vision, he locks in on his favorites rather than taking what's given. The numbers are skewed. That's hurt him in big games. To his credit, he does have a Superbowl win, with a loaded team.

I think McVay grossly misused Goff. He's more than a game manager.

Stafford also had the luxury of just being able to launch it to one of the best jump ball wrs of all time with the knowledge that Megatron was about to make a DB or 2 look silly.

  18. Just now, TBayXXXVII said:

I wouldn't phrase it that way.  I'd say that he's the only QB that's played in a system that works, in Detroit for the last 30 years.  I'd even be as bold as to say "ever", and not just limit it to just 30 years.  Stafford was definitely a better QB, but they never built a team or system around him, like Goff has had.

I made a mistake. Stafford was probably a better qb. So 2 in the last 30 years.

    Dak is smiling right now.

Goff is the best QB that the lions have had in 30 years. He fits the system well. They took a chance on him and he proved that he could take him to the superbowl. Some wonkey decisions in from the coaching staff and a swiss cheese secondary were what sunk the lions. They fixed the secondary and should land middle of the pack this year. NOT paying him was never going to be an option. Detroit would have burned if the team somehow let him get to the point he wanted to walk. My only concern with the lions is that we literally had a path last year partly because of how terrible the NFC north was. Then EVERY team in the NFC north went out and got way better. fock
