OB1 33 Posted May 24, 2005 Guys, ICE has been on the clock for 2 days. There are no time limits set, so technically we are supposed to wait for him. We've been down this road before with ICE, so that factors into my even creating this poll. I honestly hope all is well with him, but last year when this happened he neglected to tell us he was moving and wouldn't have internet connectivity. I fear he may have gone away on business or vacation or something and simply just forgot to tell us. Things to consider: 1. The season doesn't start for a LONG time, so there is no dire need to finish this week. 2. That said, I am getting married this weekend and then will be in Hawaii for 2 weeks. I had assumed we'd be done by Friday, which is the last day. Since it's only one round I guess I could leave a list, but I'd like this to be wrapped up before I go. I'm not in favor of skipping him, but I want to see the thoughts of everyone here.
Farmer Bernie 0 Posted May 24, 2005 It's just plain wrong to skip him. We waited a week for twitchy.
Orgazmo 2 Posted May 24, 2005 It's just plain wrong to skip him. We waited a week for twitchy. But we knew about Twitch's trip. Any idea where Ice is or when, or even if, he'll be back?
OB1 33 Posted May 24, 2005 It's just plain wrong to skip him. We waited a week for twitchy. Great point, but we also KNEW what the issue was with Twitchy and when he would be back. I'm not for skipping him, but there is a lot of talk about it at the sanctuary so I wanted to guage the feeling here.
whoisjgalt 0 Posted May 24, 2005 It's just plain wrong to skip him. We waited a week for twitchy. Right, but how hard is it to let someone know if you're going to be away? He has picked twice already, so he could have posted about it either time he picked. He could also send a quick email to anybody on this league. Even the elitist Mr. Twitchy was considerate enough to let us know he'd be away (and that he would leave a list, but that's not the point here). Communication isn't difficult. Skip him. He can pick whenever (if ever) he bothers to stop by again.
The Unknown Soldier 0 Posted May 24, 2005 while it's annoying since I'm next up on the clock and I have to check in all day at work despite starting a new job, I voted that we wait. Reason being that we have a long time before the season starts and there were no time limits set. That is something that we should look into for next year's 'off-season' draft. Orgazmo 2 Posted May 24, 2005 I voted to skip, though I'm admitedly influenced in a negative way by seeing him sit in here two nights ago while he was up.
Bitter Naval Frizz 0 Posted May 24, 2005 I don't like waiting since I'm so close to picking and out of courtesy to others I am checking in quite frequently. At least if I knew the next pick was going to be a week away I could disengage from the computer for awhile. No notice or reasoning for absence is a good enough reason to skip IMO. ICEMAN 45 Posted May 25, 2005 I voted to skip me, but the point is moot; I have selected. Good Lord.... Jarrett Payton???! I apologize for the delay, guys, but I had to go out of town on business unexpectedly. It won't happen again. How many rounds is this "Rookie" Draft?
