Are you benching J. Lew and for who?

Recommended Posts

I absolutely hate the matchup vs. Chicago on the road. I had a post earlier in the the week stating that I'm seriously considering Chester Taylor over him. I know that the initial reaction is never to play a back up over a starter but I'm thinking that Baltimore is going to have to pass in order to soften up the D for any type of rushing to occur. That's where Chestah will excell. The only thing holding me back is the fact that Billick had to come out and address the RB situation which could light a fire under Captain Tippy Toe's ass.

Anyways, I'm also considering bringing Burleson vs. GB off the bench to replace JLew as well. This is going to drive me nuts until gametime. :shocking:

Anyone else considering :shocking: ing JLew and for who?

I can play Dunn and DD over him, but I might want to sit DD, because J. Lewis is being televised here in Detroit, and I love watching one of my FF players on TV.

Now I'd have a real problem if I followed that technique of playing players I can actually watch since I have Sunday ticket. :shocking:

I would play DD all day over JLew. At least DD get's solid yards and catches quite a few passes which never takes him out of the game completely.

Ggroov:

I am doing the same thing - I tink the Bears are going to make the Ravens beat them with the pass (which they very well could). + Our league gives 1pt per reception, so I am counitng on Moore to get a few catches also.

I'm starting Mewelde over him this week. Chicago has a very good D, I just can't see Lewis doing very well. He'll probably have to score a TD to be worth starting. Of course, this is the first time I sat him this year, so he'll probably have his best game of the year.

I wouldn't start Nate B. over Lewis. Burelson is going to be limited this weekend, so might not be a great choice. As for C. Taylor over Jamal I think I would stick with Jamal as bigger backs faired better against Chi. this season.

That being said in hind site I wish I would have started both Priest and LJ instead of Lewis this weekend. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope Jamal starts lowering his shoulder and dishing out the punishment like the old Jamal. But I wouldn't count on it.

Good Luck

Yeah.... I just read that about Burleson. I was just getting enamored with the GB matchup in what's looking like a real shootout.

Captain Tippy Toe will remain active for this week unless I grow a serious pair of brass one's and start Chester.

I would definitely start Moore and Green over Lewis. Not as sure about A.Smith though...then again, he looked good last week. Its close between Lewis and Smith...but i feel like sooner or later, Lewis is going to have that huge breakout game. Can you guys help with my thread? Thanks!

This guy came to me in a trade and I can't stand him. I'm seriously considering starting Chester Taylor or even Cowboyz B/U RB M. Barber over him. This guy has lost either his step or his heart to play. Either way he's not the back he thought he once was. I was counting on him last week vs Clevland for at least a score, lost by 3 points. I need more than 50 yds from my starting RB's. I can't believe Balt would put thier eggs in this guys basket. 2 blown out knees and a convicted criminalis not the foundation to build a franchise on. Cut his ass loose. That goes for their failed experiment at QB Boller as well.I really don't like the Ravens in general, Billick the genius, Ray Lewis the mouth. Failure is what they deserve.

Bench him now, but hold on to him...

his last 3 weeks of the season where they will be playing for a wild card...

17 @Browns

16 Vikings

15 Packers

FF playoffs will be sweet for Jamal...

Peace

For my final flex spot, I have either Jamal, D Mason or Curtis. I think I'm going to go with Mason. NO's pass D is stronger than Chicago's and my scoring system favors RB's that carry 20+ times and WR's that catch a lot of balls. I think Mason will get his, despite playing the Bears in Chicago.

I think Mason has a dinged ankle. Check it out. The only thing I trust less than the Ravens running game is their passing game. Billick needs to be fired.

^^Jamal hasn't had Alan Ricard healthy all season either. I think that's played in on his struggles somewhat.

I've started Mason every week since Wright took over and he hasn't disappointed yet.
