Dan Sez 0 Posted June 1, 2004 As most know, my mother passed on the 20th of May. The funeral was on the following Sunday. It was a real shock because it was my father who was in very poor health. The impact of her passing and the funeral caused him to give up the fight on the 27th of May 7 days and a few hours difference both buried on a Sunday, on week apart. As tough as it is to go to the gravesite after the internment to see the fresh flowers and pay the final respects, imagine the pain of seeing the wilted flowers from the previous week limply draped across the mound of your mother's grave, next to the fresh flowers of your father's. It has been a very tough time for Tim and I, but we are hanging tough. The draft starts on the 14th. Please be prepared. Dan Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Know Doubt 0 Posted June 2, 2004 Wow. One neighbor on either side of my house in AZ passed away 23 days apart recently. One a surprize and the other not. They were neighbors for 35+ years(and mine for 5+). Miss those guys and wish I could be there for their wives A very strange occurance. Thats absoulutely nowhere near what has just happened to Dan & Tim. I can't possibly convay how sorry I am to hear your sad news. I also can't imagine the feelings. It is a very difficult time and I haven't really started processing my emotions on this, I have always been the type that would react down the road from such events. Know Doubt 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Mmm... PR, sounds kinda like a memory I have of my Dad after his Dad passed away(His Mother was still living). A few years after my Grandad had passed away, just outta the blue I remember hearing my Dad crying his head off in the next room and my Mom coming in to ask him what was wrong. My Dad wailed "My Daddys gone"... I'm still don't what I'll do when this happens to me I hope its alright to send PR a trade proposal. If not, I understand.
