Fumbleweed 555 Posted March 16, 2006 Joe Bryant at FBGs is reporting that he has an inside source who tells him that Owens to Dallas is basically a done deal at this point. Joe points out emphatically that this is only a "rumor" at this point, but that his source is almost always right and is in the heart of the Dallas organization. Take it for what it's worth.......... That said, I think everyone and there mom knows that Dallas is the front runner for TO but I'm sure the staff at Football Gays will pat themselves on the back for a month if it happens! Why didn't you say so....I mean he is the smartest football mind in America (according to him, Shick, and the rest of those cool aid drinking geeks on FBGs) so it MUST be true! All he is doing is reporting on a rumor EVERYONE who follows football has already heard! No new news, no "inside" info! Kilroy 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Siting FBGs as a source does little to make me believe it. 610WIP (Philadelphia's sports talk station) seems to think it's almost all but a lock that Owens will sign with the Miami Dolphins. They say the Dolphins will then look to trade Chambers, possibly to the Eagles for a 3rd round pick and Hollis Thomas. I believe Dan LeBetard (out of Miami) was the first to say something along these lines. He also happens to be friendly with Drew Rosenhaus who happens to be Owens agent. If you want to hammer him for hearing information from another site, the hammer everyone else that post links to other sites, because with your statement, they would be basically advertising that site. Come on people. You need to lighten up. Now, back to the original topic. Dallas wouldn't have let Key go unless that already had something in the works to bring someone else in. Owens is the likeliest possibility at this point. Dallas still has a ton of cap space left and there is no way Crayton was ready to step into a starting role. He has even less validity - and follows Joe too closely. Joe Harrington has been rumoured to be let go or traded by Detroit - a close insider of mine mentioned it thru the Lions. I'm not "pimping" another site....I'm a longtime member and a moderator of this site. I was just passing on some information from a person I felt might have some insight on the situation. I come to this site wanting to know what rumors are going on and around your home team or what little information people have about their teams. This is one of the things about this site that I love. This "rule" that most people are referring to is to keep people from posting topics like for example....... "SANDERS TO COMEBACK WITH RAVENS!!!" Hoping that people will bite and think they are talking abour RB Barry Sanders. Its the knowlingly fraudelent stuff like this example that Mike is trying to prevent from happening.
