kmswim03 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Getting a solid backup and possible QBOF for a sixth round pick is a pretty sweet deal for the Jets if you ask me.
Savage Beast 1 Posted March 17, 2006 And we can throw yet another monkey wrench into the gears of the 2006 NFL draft. This year's draft is going to be great.

TimmySmith 2,783 Posted March 17, 2006 Great move by the Jets and for cheap. Maybe Justin McCareins might finally be worth something.
Savage Beast 1 Posted March 17, 2006 I thought Ramsey would be penciled in as the starter. He will be if Pennington can't play because of his shoulder.
Guest stevejohnson Posted March 17, 2006 And we can throw yet another monkey wrench into the gears of the 2006 NFL draft. This year's draft is going to be great. He will be the starter regardless of what happens to noddle armed Pettington. This kid is a gutsy player with a big time arm.....This time next year the Skins will be kicking themselves for letting him go!

Dink and dunk Pennington will start if healthy, but it's a big if in his case. However, what would be the Jet's salary cap implications if they just cut Pennington altogether? Guest stevejohnson Posted March 17, 2006 Dink and dunk Pennington will start if healthy, but it's a big if in his case. However, what would be the Jet's salary cap implications if they just cut Pennington altogether? They already forced Chad to redo his deal so he is only making about 1-2 milion this year......I'm betting Ramsey will be the starter opening day regardless. Half of the Jets locker room made comments to the media about Chad being "soft" a month or so back and with a new coach, I think the writing is on the wall here..... Taylor36 0 Posted March 17, 2006 I liked Ramsey, tough kid with a great arm. If someone can teach him how to read the defense they will have a pretty good QB on their hands. This could be revenge for the Coles for Moss deal.
-X- 0 Posted March 18, 2006 I liked Ramsey, tough kid... Da Bears knocked him out in the first game of 2005, which ended up being his whole season...
