Dog Face Gremlins211 0 Posted March 17, 2006 The Star Ledger reports former Jets WR Keyshawn Johnson, released by the Cowboys earlier this week, is interested in returning to the area -- this time with the Giants. Johnson told SI.com the Giants are one of the teams he would consider joining. The Seahawks, Chiefs, Dolphins and Eagles round out his top 5, though the 10-year veteran said whoever contacts him had better be willing to meet his demands. "I know exactly what I'm worth," Johnson said, "and it's not $2.5 million a year. I know what I bring to a team, and if somebody comes calling who is willing to compensate me accordingly, I'm available." http://www.ffmastermind.com/quickbits.php

Savage Beast 1 Posted March 17, 2006 Keyshawn has played in the NFL for 10 years and has 60 career TD's. That's a 6 TD per year average. He is barely worth the league minimum veteran pay.
nobody 2,894 Posted March 17, 2006 It's a good life lesson. Perception is reality. Keep talking about how great you are and people will start believing it.
Guest stevejohnson Posted March 17, 2006 Why would ANYONE (except maybe Dan Snyder) pay Me-Shawn more then 2.5 million a year? This guy is the most over rated, over hyped possession receiver in NFL history! TO with out teh talent or play making ability! This jerk will play for about 1 million year or not at all! I'm hoping for the later... Do you think Mike Irvin was laughing the day Me-Shawn got cut?
CA_7 0 Posted March 17, 2006 While I am both a Giants fan and not a fan of Keyshawn's personality he does a lot that is not in the numbers. He is one of the top blocking WRs and is not afriad to get the tough catches across the middle.

That was with a lot of sorry, sorry offenses with terrible QBs and not far from what a typical receiver with Keyshawn's numbers gets.

SUXBNME 1,606 Posted March 18, 2006 As much as one might want to hate him for his "me first" attitude, He is a SOLID reciever. Very good route running, very good posession reciever, and is not afraid to go over the middle, like someone else here said. Love him or hate him, the man has got skills. In the right situation, (and if can ever get his bloated head in check) he could easily be a top reciever in the NFL. Obviously not a C. Johnson, S. Smith caliber, but a notch below. Patoons 0 Posted March 18, 2006 This cracks me up. Not everything in football is the numbers or fantasy football output. The guy isn't flashy, but he will get it done. You need a big catch over the middle, he's your man. He's probably one of the best run blocking WR's in the league. He also was the main reason that the Jets had so much success in '98. It's just too bad his attitude sucked back then.

Savage Beast 1 Posted March 20, 2006 This cracks me up. Not everything in football is the numbers or fantasy football output. But this is a fantasy football forum, so player discussions should revolve around a players fantasy value. There are great players all around the NFL who have crap fantasy numbers, and Keyshawn is one of those players.
Raider 84 29 Posted March 20, 2006 That would be nice if your an Eli owner. KeySUCK is good for 6-7 TDs. Can only help Eli.
