Favre Has No Class

Recommended Posts

Notice many of the faithful are still riding his jock?? I still think he is doing this just for the attention, there is nothing to think about anymore. The draft is NOT going to help GB that much, it might fill a hole or two, but nothing to get them over the hump to a winning season or anywhere near the playoffs. He will come back for one more season, but will milk this media attention until then and try to get his teary fairwells around the league.

At least Barry stood up and said, enough... I want out. It was late yes, but he did it without the fanfare and drama.

I admired him and enjoyed watching him play but his legacy with me is tarnished. I know it matters a lot to him.. but that's how it stands with me. He's gone from the ultimate team player, hardnosed blue collar QB to the whiney has-been holding onto the shreads of his career.

Go out like a man, not a chump... but its too late for that.

Favre says he wants to play, but only if he can win

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AvYQ...ov=ap&type=lgns

"If they don't come together, I guess I won't play," Favre said. "I don't know if my decision will be made by Saturday."

WTF?

Can one of you Favre fans explain what that sentence means. Is he opening the door to quit if they start off the season 0-4? An athlete with heart and courage would never say something like that.

Favre would have been a much better fit with the cry babies in the NBA. He could've been on the same team with Marbury, Sprewell, etc. I honestly think that a lot of other professional athletes are losing a lot of respect for him.

Phurfur- You can't be serious about Favre's comments having no affect on the contract negotiations last year. Of course they did. 100% Favre's opinion unfortunately carries more weight than the monkeys supposedly running the organization. Oh, did I also mention that Favre gets to choose who to throw the ball to. Yes, if you are in the doghouse, then you wont get the catches you normally would.

Birdbrain is absolutely correct. It is GB's fault for keeping Favre and allowing this ridiculous situation to occur. Now their franchise is going to suffer for several years to come.

Thanks for checking out this post. Last year everybody was all over me. This year, people are actually seeing that it may be true.

Good luck to all next ffb season,

sfopoker.com

Oh yeah, next season

GB (6-10) with Favre

GB (5-11) without Favre

Disagreeing with idiotic posts is not riding his jock...

Yes, I can be serious that Favre's comments had no affect on the contract situation. Look at the history of the team...how Ted Thompson runs things...he does not negotiate with players like that...especially when forced into it by a holdout ploy through the media.

In his one game...he got catches...so that pretty much blows your doghouse crap out of the water. The only way to get into his "doghouse" and not get balls thrown to you...is by doing what Ferguson did and not go after the ball ...and so on.

And I notice you at least dropped the idiotic rant about not helping Rodgers...I guess things like Facts get in your way sometimes.

If you can see Brett Favre, he can see you. If you can't see Brett Favre he already threw a touchdown pass.

When Brett Favre sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself, posed ready to throw a touchdown. Brett Favre has not had to pay taxes ever.

Brett Favre was once on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and was the first to spin. The next 29 minutes of the show consisted of everyone standing around awkwardly, waiting for the wheel to stop.

When Brett Favre does a push-up he’s not lifting himself up, he’s pushing the earth down.

When NFL cornerbacks go to sleep every night they check their closet for Brett Favre.

Packers receivers have cybernetic hands to be able to catch a Favre pass. The bones in their hands are broken in training camp.

Brett Favre could win the Superbowl every year, he chooses not to.

Brett Favre once vomited his liver and broke his leg before throwing for 500 yards and 7 touchdowns prior to halftime. This game was edited for television.

The quickest way to a man's heart is with a football thrown by Brett Favre.

When Brett Favre exercises, the machine gets stronger

This stuff is comical.

Favre has already told GB that he is coming back. GB knows he's coming back.

So they are playing with the media, and the media, and the gullable people all over are eating it up.

Let it go people. He'll play 1 more season. Get the a few more records and end his career as a top 3 QB.

I've been of the opinion that kicking Favre to curb might be best for the Packers anyway. At this point, I'd consider doing to Favre exactly what he thinks the Packers are incapable of doing. Cut him. This waiting game is ridiculous. He clearly doesn't have the passion for the game necessary if he wants to wait until he sees what the Packers do in the off-season.

Another funny note.....since the Packers do not seem to be too worried about the Favre situation by giving him until whenever and if Favre isnt too worried why is everyone else?...

Its bothering everyone else in this world besides the Packers...its quite sad...

A fairly new GM in TT wouldnt stand for this if he was worried about the welfare of the team either....if it was say ron wolf or sherman I could see since they have been with Favre for so long that they are giving him a break but thats not the cae...

THEY are NOT Worried!!!!!!!.......why is everyone else.....

I laugh at you all
