MadLove 0 Posted June 9, 2006 I was one of the few "geniuses" who took SA @ #1 last year over LT. Most rational posters here claimed that it wasn't such a crazy thing to do (even though prob 90% took LT over SA)... but there were upwards to a dozen or so belligerent and/or know-it-all forum members who went out of their way to berate me for even thinking of taking SA at #1. People who felt the need to rationalize how much better of a football player and human specimen LT was than SA... No keen insight here. No profound message. And i'm sure some of you will think i'm an idiot/other for even re-hashing the issue... like I give a sh!t. The simple fact of the matter is that taking SA over LT @ #1 last year won the c-ship for me. I wonder how nasty some of the LT-jockriders will be this year... LT never finishes as the top fantasy RB at the end of the season, but because he always finishes in the top 5 he gets much hype and manlove each fantasy season. The LT "superior talent" myth is also the reason a bunch of people are so in love with LT even though it's an unproven myth.

MadLove 0 Posted June 9, 2006 Too bad the Winter Olympics just passed... looks like you will have to wait until summer of 2008 for your medal ceremony. Cute. Truth is, these boards were down at the time (and for months following) of proper relevance... i'm sure I would have been far more obnoxious around week
mggoilers 0 Posted June 9, 2006 I'll take the bait...LT is better than Shaun Alexander. Do you think Maurice Morris would get on the field playing behind LT? Morris gets on the field playing behind SA. The Seahawks lack a receiving threat in the redzone, hence all of SA's scores(additional scores)...San Diego has a pretty good option other than LT with Gates. LT does it all and can be relied upon on 3rd down to catch, blitz pick-up, or available for a draw play. I'm from Texas...I'm biased. LT is the best back in football. MadLove 0 Posted June 9, 2006 what*burp*ever. I never claimed to be a visionary with my SA pick... it was either him or LT, and I went with the underdog - only to be lambasted by a bunch of guys who live vicariously through fantasy football. I joined in Aug. of last year, have 308 posts to my credit... yet a search on my name brings up 4 threads.... apparently all of my pre-season "i'm taking SA #1" and consequent "SA is outperforming LT" posts were (conveniently?) deleted. You don't remember me Scooter!?! I remember you... but then again, how can someone not remember a guy who was posting a msg a minute! 06-07 prediction: Scooter ends the season with 16,000 posts, I win my main $$$ league again, and Mossad assassinates the Iranian Hitler. What a glorious year we have ahead of us!
Parja 0 Posted June 9, 2006 it was either him or LT ...or Priest. He went 1.02 in my league with SA going 1.03.

TD Ryan2 316 Posted June 9, 2006 lighten up Francis. Just keep being right about sh!t and then you won't have to dig through old and deleted files to prove how smart you are. And also, choosing correctly between SA and LT really isn't all that glorious... pull a Soilost for us and deliver Brandon Stokely-quality predictions and you'll garner a bit more respect. MadLove 0 Posted June 9, 2006 ...or Priest. He went 1.02 in my league with SA going 1.03. true enough... although I was one of those lucky ones that grabbed LJ in the middle rounds - and wound up riding SA and LJ down the stretch. Oh what a stretch that was.
