Bugs Bunny wuz here 0 Posted July 3, 2006 the clinton portis hype machine continues. he's not proven to be an elete back outside of denver with one major disapointing season and one good one.
famousb 11 Posted July 3, 2006 http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/positional-rankings/OFF/RB F. Taylor as the #8 RB overall, are they kidding? i agree 8th overall is a completely off-the-wall prediction, but this is coming from just another guy that believes pre-season hype about guys. I'm certain he had KJ and JJ listed in the top 10 last year and he has Caddy and RB in there this year... But back to Fred, i wouldn't want to count on him as my #2 RB, but if i can snag him at his current ADP of 6.10 (33rd overall RB) i would GLADLY put him in as my RB #3 with the production he's had when healthy... seriously, if you avg. his season numbers over a 16 game season he's at 1380 yds and 8 tds per. plus another 300 yds rec'ing... not too bad for a guy you'd just be plugging in at the #3 spot for matchups and bye-weeks... shovelheadt 72 Posted July 3, 2006 Rudi got d*cked. I could see him being ahead of 8-10. I also think Edge will disappoint a bit.
Orgazmo 2 Posted July 3, 2006 Rudi got d*cked. I could see him being ahead of 8-10. I also think Edge will disappoint a bit. Agreed. The kid is a tank. He's behind one of the best lines on a playoff team.

GobbleDog 1,012 Posted July 3, 2006 1. LaDainian Tomlinson, Chargers His numbers aren't the best, but he is. The opposition lives in fear of what he can do. 2. Larry Johnson, Chiefs He was on the bench a year ago and now he's an elite back. That says something about how fragile a running back's life can be in this league. 3. Clinton Portis, Redskins He was much more comfortable in the Redskins' system last season -- and it showed. He'll be even better this season now that the passing game has help outside. 4. Shaun Alexander, Seahawks He's coming off a heck of a season, but some scouts still have some doubts about him. One thing you can't doubt is his production. 5. Tiki Barber, Giants At 31, he's coming off an MVP-type of season. He carried the Giants to the division title last season. 6. Edgerrin James, Cardinals He's been a consistent player his entire career and he's much needed in Arizona. The problem is he doesn't get the long runs anymore. 7. Steven Jackson, Rams A year from now he will be higher on this list. He's ready for his breakout season. He's big, strong and fast. 8. Fred Taylor, Jaguars The only thing holding him back has been injuries. If the offensive line plays better, he could have a huge season. 9. Cadillac Williams, Bucs He has that ability to make people miss and explode out of his cuts. He's another back who needs more from his line. 10. Ronnie Brown, Dolphins Without Ricky Williams around, he'll put up even better numbers than he did as a rookie. He's a power back who also has speed. Interesting list. But couldn't they say the same thing about A. Green? - The only thing holding him back has been injuries. If the offensive line plays better, he could have a huge season. If the offensive line plays better, he could have a huge season. even better they could say it about Westbrook... at least he is the clear cut #1 guy, and if he ever played a full season he should easily approach 1800-2000+ total yds...
