VaTerp 0 Posted July 5, 2006 For those of you who still buy magazines and are looking for some decent ones I reccomend PFW/sportsline and fanball.com's. Fanball has a breakdown of players stats in goal-to-go situations. Here are some of the interesting ones. RB's- S. Alexander- 35 attempts 80 yds 21 TD's. - Highest # of att's and 60% resulted in TD's. Guess that how you break records. L. Johnson- 34- 63 - 10. Not bad but no comp to SA. Priest had 14 - 24- 5 LT2- 32- 78- 15 plus he threw 1. Tiki- 22- 37- 3. plus 4- 25- 2 rec. B. Jacobs 16- 15- 7. Edge- 39- 81- 12 plus 1 rec for 8 and a TD Rudi 32- 67- 10 Portis 28- 51- 7 Lamont- 27- 45- 8 Dillon- 16- 41- 11. Almost 69% TD's. M. Anderson 34- 65- 10. T. Bell-17- 31- 4 S. Davis 22- 30- 10. Who gets those carries now? S. Jax- 18- 41- 7 RB- 12- 34- 3. RW- 9- 13- 2 Caddy- 13- 42- 4. Alstott- 11- 18- 6 C-Mart- 31-42- 5 Bettis- 28-62- 9. Similar to S. Davis T. Jones- 19- 35- 7. Benson. 3- (-5)- 0. Can post more in a lil bit including Qb's, Wr's, Te's if people are interested.

TD Ryan2 316 Posted July 5, 2006 two that jump out at me: Tiki- 22- 37- 3. plus 4- 25- 2 rec. B. Jacobs 16- 15- 7. that's a total of 42 goal-to-go opportunities for Tiki/Jacobs... and Tiki was given 26 of them (61%) with Jacobs stat line, it appears that he's only in there for a 1 yard plunge... anywhere outside of the 1 yard line, it's still Tiki's show. C-Mart- 31-42- 5 yeah, he only got in for 5 scores but the fact that he's the ONLY option and gets the rock every time makes me love this guy as a 6th (or later) pick. VaTerp 0 Posted July 5, 2006 10 minutes of work. Now back to things that matter. QB's- comp/att td's- ints McNabb- 15/26 11 td's 0 ints. Rush. 2- 5 yds 1 td. And thats w/ a hernia and missing the last 7 gms. hmm. . .. Brunell- 16/23 11 td's 0 ints. 0 rush att. but 2 fumbles. Surprisingly good except for the fumbles. P. Manning- 15/29 10 td's 0 int. Rush 1 (-6) Palmer- 18/39 11- 1. rush 3 (-12) 1 td Brady- 16/26 11- 1. Rush 3- 7- 1 td. Bledsoe- 11/21 10- 0. Rush 3- 9- 2 tds. Eli- 14/32 10 -1. Rush 1-1- 1 td. Warner- 10/15- 7-0. Rush 1-1-0 tds. Plummer- 17/33 11- 1. Rush 5-10- 2 td's. Big Ben- 10/18 8- 0. Rush 7-27- 3 Td's. Bulger- 2/4 2- 0. J. Marrtin 2/4 1- 0. Shocked at how low these #'s are. Did the Rams really have that few GL situations last year?
GemMaster 0 Posted July 5, 2006 That mag is also an excellent place to see some fantasy football resources.

Polamalu43 0 Posted July 5, 2006 The Mag I got this year was NFL.Com's fantasy mag. It really wasn't all that good. Its like it was written before the draft although there is a little mention of the rooks. They don't even show up in the rankings. I'll never get that one again. Thanks for the post. VaTerp 0 Posted July 6, 2006 WR's- rec.- yds- td's Harrison- 6-43-6 Wayne 4-22-2 Chambers- 5-30-5 Galloway- 5-33-5 Joe Juri.- 5-22-5 Ward- 4-21-4 Kennison- 4-29-4 Fitz- 5-23-4 Boldin 0. Im very high on both these guys but Fitz IS the red zone target. TJ Housh- 5-31-4 CJ- 1-1-1. interesting S. Smith- 5-19-3. Someone should look up his ypc on Td's. Id think its pretty high. M. Jones- 3-27-3. 9ypc in gtg situations. impressive. L. Coles 4-28-3 R. Williams- 4-23-3 L. Evans- 4-12-3 R. Smith 3-11-3 Lelie 2-12-1 R. Moss- 2-11-1. Would like to see his #'s from years past. S. Moss 3-14-1 Burress 1-5-1. Very disappointing considering his size and the fact that Eli had 32 att.'s TO- 3-15-3. Westy(since his Rb #'s were just 6 rush 9yds)- 4-19-3 Holt- 1-5-1. Rams Qb's were only credited with 8 total att.'s Strikingly low.
murf74 461 Posted July 6, 2006 Interesting on CJ not being the redzone target, but it is TJ. Also interesting is that it takes Palmer the most amount of passing attempts to get a TD in goal to go situations out of any other QB on that list. TJ has been pretty high on my draft board and after seeing his target count inside the 10 makes him even higher. And I feel vindicated in seeing that Burress is a non-factor at the goalline, as I said as he was leaving Pitt he was overrated in that part of his game. His ball skills are horrible for a guy his size. He has no timing on his jumps either. And I don't think I can keep Fitz out of the top 3 in WRs this year. GobbleDog 1,020 Posted July 6, 2006 RB- 12- 34- 3. RW- 9- 13- 2 Caddy- 13- 42- 4. Alstott- 11- 18- 6 Like everyone else, I've been flip flopping between Caddy vs. Brown. Apprently, Alstot stole a lot more goal line touches than I had remembered (although Caddy missed some games so that might account for some of them). A lot of people are assuming that Alstot will play a much smaller role this year, but that's really based in hope more than anything else. Throw in Caddy's injury problems and I'm starting to like Brown a lot more.

Throw in Caddy's injury problems and I'm starting to like Brown a lot more. here's a link to see Alstott's game-by-game performance from 2005. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/game...stMi00.htm#2005 actually only 3 of his carries came when Caddy was out. then 9 carries & 2 TDs came against WAS in week 10 - where Caddy had a crappy game. what's interesting to note that is right after that game was when Caddy started performing well again, and Alstott only had 14 carries and 3 TDs from there on out - 7 and 2 of those coming in weeks 11&12 - from there on out Alstott "stole" a whopping 7 carries and 1 td...
