anty63 0 Posted July 18, 2006 i didn't argue, but after looking at my picks, after the 1st round, i don't like the rb's. i think i can get a better value with a wr. i'm probably wrong

tampa_fan_01 0 Posted July 18, 2006 before the days of antsports, my best friend and I would mock all the time. Seriously, we would get home from school before football season and make entire leagues practicing for the draft. God, it was rediculous. But we could pick eachothers team when the real draft came along.... I cant say I didnt do any myself, but I did those on paper before Al Gore invented the interweb. uubeee 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I don't like to mock with myself....I prefer to have a partner.
clintbob 0 Posted July 18, 2006 mocks are great to do if you know the other players in your draft.i have been in the same league for 7 yr and no one has droped out yet so i know them well.how they like and dont.i have done a mock draft for the last two yrs.it helps.i also do a yahoo public league draft a week before my draft.this helps to see where players go and see some other sleepers.like we will miss one on this site. Cuse9 129 Posted July 18, 2006 Sad as it is...I'm guilty of this shameless activity. I used to work beside a big fantasy nut and we would have fantasy drafts using just one division....first the AFC Central, done with that...onto the AFC West....and so on. But, hey it really passes time in the workplace!
Riddlen 1 Posted July 18, 2006 I done did a whole mock my own self once
IRBIR 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I heard that if you mock with yourself too much you'll go blind.
Belushi 9 Posted July 18, 2006 Did you mock the computer when it made it's picks?
IndyTom 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Did you happen to have the first pick as well...or did you have a random drawing?
RicemanX 20 Posted July 18, 2006 Yea, I love doing mock drafts by myself! (work gets kinda boring) But what I love to do is to have a different strategy for each position on the draft. I would have a few positions stick draft specific positions for rounds, like RB RB WR WR QB or something. I would have a few positions always pick best player available and then fill out the rest of the roster in the later rounds. I would have a few positioins with specific players they want, and they would try to reach for them. (maybe like Reggie Bush in the 5th or something.) anyways. its pretty fun...at least for me. Jeremy 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I don't have access to Antsports and some of the other mock draft sites from work (surf control ), so I'm sort of forced to do my own little mock drafts. I usually just open up a spreadsheet on excel, type in the names of all the owners in their draft positions and try to imagine who each person would likely take in a given spot. After 5 years of drafting with mostly the same guys, I feel I have a good idea of their tendencies. I know which people go RB/RB in the first 2 rounds, which ones have man love for certain players, which ones are homers, etc. I usually end up going 5 or 6 rounds. After that it's really tough to predict what people will do. But I'm able to try some different things and see what I think I end up with. It's not as much fun as doing "real" mocks, but it's all I've got.
MacAir747 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I'll neither confirm nor deny that I've ever done a solo mock draft, however I will say I'd much rather do that than watch baseball. It's been a long off season!
Queso Viejo 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I'll do a loner mock 3 round dynasty rookie draft every year based on teams needs and their drafting tendencies. I don't think the guys in my league realize how predictable they are because I'm usually 80%-90% correct.
