Chad Pennington or Patrick Ramsey

Recommended Posts

I know its Chads job to loose but when healthy I have not been overly impressed with him. Ramsey had his shots with the Skins and is now in green and white. Whats the word on Pennington has he recovered for his injury. How have they both looked this preseason and who do you prefer?

I personally think Ramsey is the better of the two and will be starting before the end of the year, but I have been wrong before.

Chad will start the season and be there until he gets injured, After that is ramsey but then later in the season Kelly Clemens could get some starts.

Everything I'm hearing is Kellen Clemens looks better than anyone. Mangini has not said the job is anyones...he said the best player will win the job. (No link, he was on NFL network)

I just hope that I'm not forced to watch one of there games because there's no other games on at that time.

Hey, good sentence.

The word is that Ramsey has looked pretty bad in camp. Like it's already been said, it's Pennington's job to lose. To be honest, I don't want Ramsey starting any games. I'm hoping that Clemens can beat him out for the #2 spot. I'm also hoping that we don't have to talk about the backup QB come season time.

hmmm.... hard to tell since preseason is still weeks away.....

each has been getting 1st team reps in camp so thats a sign that Mangini is willing to give each a fair shot and no hand off to Pennington just cause he was the starter and has the starters contract

i think this is more open than people will give credit to and likely will wind up being decided by preseason performance

Pennington has been throwing but not asked to throw all the balls that they want him to right yet

he is being taken along slower this time which is a smart thing and what i think gives him the best shot is his leadership skills

Ramsey has never been a leader and has an erratic arm, Clemens is but a rookie

while people really knock him on his arm strength Pennington has enough to get it done but hasnt really had to make those throws yet in camp so its hard to say if his abilities have suffered from the injury

Clemens has been a real stud from reports so far

they like his arm, decisions, and mobility and he seems to have a good grasp of what they are looking to do on offense which is a good sign

i think he is still in a close second at the moment with Ramsey falling back

Pat has shown some spurts of first round talent and has a great arm but he is just too wild and inconsistent

can anyone really see a disciple of discipline letting his team be run by a non-leader, wild armed QB?

not really.....

im going to say Pennington if he can make those throws deep and has recovered from surgery

Clemens only has the knock of minimal leadership and they of course will want to take him along slowly and let him learn some before being tested

i think they can afford that luxury of having him sit if Chad is back throwing full strength but if he isn't or still needs a bit more time, Clemens steps in

Chad was never the most mobile QB and now the way of the statue is fading at QB
