I liked the fantasy rookie getting "advice" right before the draft from another drafter. "Always take a kicker in the first round, don't ever draft a rb you can always trade for one later." That was great.

Both commercials were right on the money. Both funny but not over the top.

Manning is actually very good in every commercial I've seen him in. There's a new one for SportsCenter where they are giving a tour of the ESPN facilities. Archie is in the front of the group, while Peyton and Eli are in the back, and they're screwing around and picking on each other like a couple of brothers in grade school. At one point, Archie turns around and gives them a dirty look. It's very funny.

 

The Housh-yer-mama ad is also very funny, I think.

 

I don't really care for the Reggie Bush ESPN commercial, though. "For the first pick in the draft, I take our man Reggie Bush." "Cool, I'll take LJ." Anybody ever been to a draft like that, where guys are just kind of sitting around in various areas of the room chatting, not paying attention, and one guy suddenly decides to start the draft by telling them who he's taking? I didn't think so.

I like the one with him, Eli and his dad where the two brothers are horse playin around on each other. When Archie turns around they act all nice, then go back at each other when Archie's back is turned.

It's a great commercial. Very funny. It actually makes Petyon look like Fred Smerlas.

 

Of course, Peyton always has some great commercials, so funny, every year. And then he chokes in the playoffs, yet we still have to watch the commercials through the NFC and AFC Championships.

I think both Mannings are good in every one of the commercials they are in.

 

I still think the best NFL spot was the one where they show guys talking about their teams during the pre-season but did not air until the end of the 04 season.

Thanks for bumping this - at the time, during the very 1st preseason game, it was relevant and an entertaining discussion. My how it must vex you to see others plesantly discussing the topic that I started, since you bumped it to "prove" how bad I am for the community.

Back to the topic - the new Sportscenter with Peyton & Eli smacking & kicking each other is pretty funny too.
