jocstrap 8 Posted August 13, 2006 First - - please don't put him in the same sentence as Barry Second - he is moving up the draft board rapidly and rightfully so. He might be THE rookie rb worth drafting late in the 2nd early 3rd .
salparadise 1 Posted August 13, 2006 I am sure that he is going to move up many draft boards. Do you think it would be crazy to take him at 2.10 in a twelve team league?
ROCKET 0 Posted August 13, 2006 He took the handoff and went to the left, no hole there so he cut back and out ran the whole lateral pursuit of the defense to the right for 40+ yards. Not many backs alive can do that at the NFL level. He looked liked Barry Sanders when he had the great speed coming out of OSU. This kid is going to be something special barring injury.
56 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Describe. He ran to the LOS on the left side, but it was all jammed up. He reversed direction and ran to the right, and just outran everyone. He looked the same as he did at USC, which is scary.
BringBackBernie 0 Posted August 13, 2006 I am sure that he is going to move up many draft boards. Do you think it would be crazy to take him at 2.10 in a twelve team league? Yes. He is not a 20 carry back and he plays for a crappy team with crappy O-line. Bush is a major talent, but his team is a major strike against him.

No one is saying he has done what Barry did as of yet but you can't deny the possibility exists that he could be that special of a rb. I can't think of any other rb's I could say that about since Barry retired. No one is like sanders please stop the comparison. Did you see the run? Barry Jr. he is. Now, Barry went his first how many seasons going over 1000 yards, no injuries, and definitely not sharing the load. When Bush is in every play, then we can have the Barry vs Bush conversation. Cuse9 131 Posted August 13, 2006 No one is like sanders please stop the comparison. If you watch sports....this is constant. Sanders is an obvious comparison for Bush. Not saying he's the next Barry, but he made a move like Barry. It's not putting Bush to Sanders' level....it's a compliment to Barry. Any rb who makes an incredible run with alot of razzle dazzle is gonna be compared to Barry. It's just like in basketball....even a high school kid can make a move or shot like Jordan....but there's only one Jordan! So, if you're a Barry fan, which it seems as though you are, take the comparison as a compliment!!
The Moose 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Yes. He is not a 20 carry back and he plays for a crappy team with crappy O-line. Bush is a major talent, but his team is a major strike against him. Maybe not 20 carries, but 20 total touches is a reasonable expectation. I can see him going for 12-15 carries and 5-10 catches for 100 yards and a score or two against some of the lesser defenses. If he did not play for such a crappy team, I would be all over him.
murf74 461 Posted August 13, 2006 Tennessee D is horrible.. Tenn D takes bad angles, they took horrible angles on Willie Parker week #1 too. I mean who coaches these defenders to run sideways toward a quick guy like that? Take an angle boys.

Is that your team name or something? This is at least your 3rd post in the last half hour with that reference. Maybe you should change your handle to that. He looked the same as he did at USC, which is scary. yes, very scary. i think alot of people said that bush wouldnt do that in the nfl because of defensive speed. he showed tonight that he can. im loving it and my bush meter is already rising. i think this isnt a knee jerk reaction but instead it is a justified by seeing that bush can perform like he did at USC in the nfl. swamp dog 0 Posted August 13, 2006 He did look like Sanders there. when an all-pro defender blows out his knee on a bush juke and the guy doesn't even touch him...then wake me up and tell me all about your "bush is just like barry" bs.
56 0 Posted August 13, 2006 when an all-pro defender blows out his knee on a bush juke and the guy doesn't even touch him...then wake me up and tell me all about your "bush is just like barry" bs. Yeah, because saying "he looked like Sanders there" (on 1 play) is exactly like saying "Bush is just like Barry", you stupid cumguzzler.
RebelShark 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Bush has 1 really good run against a crappy Titan Defense. I think I'll contemplate drafting him in the first 3 rounds now.

dcOne 2 Posted August 13, 2006 Are we talking about the Tennessee first string defense? No. That's just it. Every back in the NFL has runs just like that every time they play a second team defense.

rebooters 1 Posted August 13, 2006 No. That's just it. Every back in the NFL has runs just like that every time they play a second team defense. actually, not even close to every back could pull that run off. most all of them would have been caught. vick, LT2, steve smith could all do it but they arent all backs either. Ilov80s 0 Posted August 13, 2006 I can't say for sure, but I think it was Ten's first string D. Bush's run came on the Saints 6th offensive play...usually the 1st string D plays atleast 15 plays.
dcOne 2 Posted August 13, 2006 actually, not even close to every back could pull that run off. most all of them would have been caught. vick, LT2, steve smith could all do it but they arent all backs either. I was being sarcastic. First string, second, third, it was still impressive, and not something a lot of back's could do.

lguero1 4 Posted August 13, 2006 barry could on dream of a run like this. i am taking bush with the first overall pick in a 12 team redraft. greatest RB ever. bush is emmitt, gale, barry, sweetness, earl campbell, metcalf on roids, dickerson, priest, and tiger woods into one. (if he wanted to play golf) no more talk of barry word, he could not carry reggie's jock so please stop all of this nonsensical chatter.
