GettnHuge 2 Posted August 25, 2006 lol that was crazy... Tiger on the last hole hit one over the stands, took a huge bounce off a drive and on top of the clubhouse. There is an official up there looking for it. probably OB update...there is apparently no OB on the clubhouse. Tiger and the officials are at the clubhouse surrounded by a huge crowd talking about what to do. one man just yelled that someone picked it up on the other side of the building. GettnHuge 2 Posted August 25, 2006 ok...after a half hour the officials figured that his ball disappeared about 100yards away on top of the clubhouse, Tiger is getting a free drop 100 yards to the right of the green. He just put it on the green and has a 20 footer for par. crazy stuff edit they are interviewing an official the ball somehow ended up in the parking lot picked up by someone on the cooking staff. Obviously this allows a player a free drop, they estimated it was 100 yards away. what if the ball had not been picked up? either way we had to go to the temp immov obstruction rule. I'll look forward to seeing the highlight. sounds crazy. just interviewed tiger wwho said it was the craziest situation he'd ever been in during a tourney. he doesn't know how that wasn't out of bounds, he says he hit an 9 iron and it went about 212 yards 212 focking yards?!!? that doesn't seem right but he did fly clean over the green and stands for an extra 50yds or so...hell that'll make it a 200+ yards 9iron out of the rough. anyway the lesson to be learned here, kids...if it's not marked out of bounds...it isn't out of bounds. everyone just assumes it is, even tiger.
