Who to drop for a kicker?

Recommended Posts

10 man yahoo league

QB: Carson Palmer

QB: Drew Brees

WR: Hines Ward

WR: Javon Walker

WR: Laveranues Coles

WR: Antonio Bryant

WR/TE: Marques Colston

TE: Jason Witten

RB: Ronnie Brown

RB: Steven Jackson

RB: Chester Taylor

RB: Frank Gore

RB: Ahman Green

RB: Deangelo Williams

K: ????

Def: Jacksonville

I was thinking of dropping Jason Witten for a kicker but it seems like he''s too good of a TE to drop, especially with TO gone for a little while but I can start Colston against Atlanta this week. Also, should I trade for a RB for an upgrade at WR?

I would drop or preferably trade Deangelo (only non-starter), besides seven RBs is a little extreme. Why don't you pair two of your lesser RBs and attempt to pickup a top tier WR. Then you would be able to pickup a K.

I have 6 RBs. :) I've been trying to shop around for a bit but either people don't check their fantasy leagues or they like to hold onto the players they drafted.

You could trade Brees and 1 or 2 RB's for a good WR and a lesser QB or just a WR then pick up a decent QB off waiver.

Or

Trade a decent receiver and an decent RB for a good WR. You want to get some sort of quality for quantity trade to free up a spot or two.

All I know is all those star players aren't doing anything for you on the bench. Keep one good backup per position for byes or injuries and then package them up to get LDT, LJ, or Alexander. Same w/ WRs, package them and try and grab CJ, Holt, Harrison...

I'd drp Witten... rec's are a dime a dozen this year.

Agree with others, package a deal to free up a spot. Try not to just drop someone good w/o getting something in return.

Try and package Gore and one of your WR's for a top 5 receiver. Gore is a stud, but I really don't see his value getting any higher than it is right now. Gore played against two weak run defenses, I highly doubt he'll continue to do so well. The goal is to maximize the returns on your players, the time is now, get rid of Gore.
