bgard72 10 Posted October 3, 2006 According to the news on Alexander, he should be back at the end of October. Do you think it's worth it trying to get him in a trade? You may not need to over-pay for him...and he could turn out to be HUGE if he comes back healthy. I was thinking of offering Chad Johnson and Fred Taylor to a guy that has him....maybe he'll bite on it. Thoughts? News and Notes Oct 2 Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander (foot) is expected to miss the team's Week 6 game. He has another X-ray and possibly another MRI schedule for Monday, Oct. 9. Oct 1 Alexander (foot) is expected to return by Seattle's Oct. 22 game against Minnesota, NBC reported during Sunday night's Seahawks game. Recommendation: According to the report, coach Mike Holmgren said Alexander's broken foot will only need a couple more weeks. The Seahawks have a bye next week and then play at St. Louis on Oct. 15. wiscsports1234 0 Posted October 3, 2006 I would try offering as little as possible to get Alexander that's still a fair trade. try Freddy and another WR other than CJ first. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=240411
Steve-O-328 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Without knowing your whole team, I would say go for it, but I doubt he will bite, especially with Freddy losing some work to Drew-Jones
sped1103 0 Posted October 3, 2006 I agree with Steve-O. Taylor may not be a good enough RB to the guy with SA. I'd extend the offer and see what he says but given most people's perception of Freddy and the fact that 85 hasn't been performing, I'd guess he won't accept. Post your roster and let's see if we can offer any other suggestions. Thanks for mine!

dumbassmax2001 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Like everyone else, I agree....go ahead and make the offer. I offered Dunn & CJ for SA & Morris and was turned down. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=240431
delusional247 0 Posted October 3, 2006 I traded ( in the process ) SA and leftwich for Peyton and Turner. I figured SA isn't helping me win now and by the time he comes back, i could already be out of the race.
Bojangling 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Why not? Alexander will always have more potential than just about anyone you would trade to get him, and Seattle has a cakewalk schedule. Thanks for mine.

I think if you can get SA for CJ and Fred, go for it. SA will come back in a month and I see no reason he will not produce. SEA will definitely need him and will use him a lot. Thanks for helping with mine
MarkF150 0 Posted October 4, 2006 Sea needs SA big time, I think he will do great when he returns. You should be able to get SA for Fred and CJ.
nwfootballfan 0 Posted October 4, 2006 I would offer D Foster and Williamson. When/if he turns it down, I would raise the offer to D Foster and CJ. You are not going to get Shaun without giving up a little. With Housh, Chad's numbers are going to slide him out of the top 5. You would be set for the main part of the season with SJackson and Shaun and you could start Taylor in the mean time.
thegreatone3 0 Posted October 4, 2006 No harm in making the offer but I doubt the other guy bites. It would be one thing if CJ and Fred Taylor were off to great starts. They're both sucking pretty bad right now. I think Shaun will be fine when he returns, but I don't think you can expect last year's production from him.
