bobpate17 0 Posted October 12, 2006 my team is in my sign. I need win real bad (1-4). here is my problem: I have stallworth injured, Rod is just not doing anything and harrison on bye. who can I pick up from WW. here are my choices. I will be droping Rod. Jenkins (Atl: vick doesn't throw much) A. Bryant (SF: SD D has been really good this year and I also have Gore) Mccardell (SD: doing nothing so far) D. Bennett (Ten: injury question and been inconsistant) R. curry (Oak: they are so inconsistant) Welker (Mia: I am also starting R. brown as my RB)
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 12, 2006 if youre lookin for a spot starter, i would go with Welker out of that bunch. if youre lookin for long term, i say hold onto rod, he plays OAK this week, CLE and then IND. all very weak secondaries. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243343
chitown81 0 Posted October 12, 2006 for this week, i say either mccardell or welker.
Zepix 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Welker seems like the best choice against NYJ for this week, and Harrington is not looking too bad in place of cpep.
Melvinbet 5 Posted October 12, 2006 I'd go with Bryant and hope he breaks on deep. He is the deep guy and even against SD def he will get open once or twice deep, just have to hope Smith has the time to hit him. Out of everyone else you listed I don't see any better. Just go with the best player regardless of matchup. See mine Bob
treewarden 1 Posted October 12, 2006 I actually would hold tight & start Rod Smith based on some easy matchups. Don't give up on the ageless wonder just quite yet... If I had to pick one it would be Welker as he seems to get the looks against the #2 or #3 DB Please see my poll: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243434
SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted October 12, 2006 Oddly faced with nearly those same choices and also some major bye problems at WR, I just picked up Rod Smith over nearly the same group (minus Bryant). I went with Smith. Bryant may be better, but Smith just got a TD last week and i think that's a good sign. I foolishly picked Smith high in the draft thinking Walker would take a while to have an impact, and later I dropped him. Bryant Johnson copuld be a good player to get if available, and I just added him too.

OTCM 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Take R. Smith. It's not like he's looking old out there. Plummer just hasn't gotten him the ball. Expect Denver's offense to get back on track and play Smith. T Man 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Go with Rod. He will bust out. Oakland will give up a score to him. He will get it going. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243438
patp_1974 0 Posted October 12, 2006 i would go with welker. he seems to be harrington's favorite target and booker is out so he will be getting a lot of balls. please see my post: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243418
sportscleve14 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I would go with Rod SMith aganist a VERY Weak Raiders D this week
Darb33 0 Posted October 12, 2006 From that group I love Welker. I read online this week he was targeted like 12 or 13 times last week. That is a very high amount. Add to that Booker is injured and Welker will get plenty of looks this week against a poor Jets D. I had bye week issues in 2 of my leagues and added Welker to start. He is a great play imo. Here is a link to help me out, thanks http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243143
