rastamon420 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Hey gang, I'm dying over here......after starting 2-0, I've pulled a Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals and have lost 4 straight! So, rather than over-thinking, I'll leave it up to you all to pick my team this week. I'll go with the consensus of picks, and please, feel free to banter with another if necessary. QB (Pick 1): Drew Bledsoe vs. NYG John Kitna @ NYJ Byron Leftwich is still available in FA, and they are playing Houston.....notorious for their shoddy pass defense and defense in general. RB (Pick 2): Tomlinson @ KC (no brainer there) McGahee vs. NE Dominic Rhodes vs. WSH I could pick up either Leon Washington or Kevin Barlow from the Jets this week.......... WR (Pick 2): - this has been my Achilles heel every week....I can't get the WR's right to save my life! Chad Johnson vs. CAR Plaxico @ DAL Keyshawn @ CIN Lee Evans vs. NE Only FA worth anything here would be Toomer, E. Wilford (JAX), or Cotchery (NYJ) - LJ Smith is my only TE and I'm starting him - My (K) - Jeff Wilkins is on BYE this week so I picked up Vinatieri Will he start? Or should I pick up Feely (NYG), Vandershank, Tynes (KC), or Graham (CIN) Thanks fellas......I owe you beers, and please leave a link and I'll return the favor. throttlers 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Drop Bledsoe for Leftwich and play Lefty. He will have a big week. Play LT and McGahee Play CJ and pick up Wilford. Wilford has a good matchup and M.Jones looks like he will miss 1 more game. On the K I'd just flip a coin http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245831
rlb72 0 Posted October 19, 2006 i like leftwich over both bledsoe and kitna this week for the reasons you described gotta stick with mcgahee over rhodes since he gets all the carries. and you kind of have to stick with CJ and Plaxico at WR...although id be tempted to go with evans. but would stick with those two since your already playing mcgahee. at kicker go with graham. he should not be on any waiver wire. lj is a stud. see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245826
A Dido Brother 0 Posted October 19, 2006 I'd drop Bledsoe from your lineup completely and keep Leftwich. He's a top tenner by the end of the year, if not already. Between him and Kitna, you've got it pretty good at QB.
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 19, 2006 I guess i'm alone in this one but the Giant - Cowgirl game is Monday Night, I think Bledsoe does allright I'd play him and drop Kitna to get Leftwich. You obviously have to play McGahee and for the WR's being that you have McGahee going I think that makes it difficult to play Evans even though I think he does ok in the game. So I guess go with Burress. Vinatieri will start, they cut Gramatica but I agree Graham shouldn't be out there this might be an unpopular thing to say but I'd dump Vinatieri and get Graham, the Colts only score TD's. Good Luck Here's Mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245847 Peace...
TDhauler 0 Posted October 19, 2006 QB situation is a wash to me, no no-brainer here. I think Bledsoe will turn it up, and he's been the most consistent (points wise) out of the three. I've owned Leffy every year except for this one, but I just don't trust him. Plus it's a division game, Houston will play tough. Plus to the Leffy touters (which I was until I really looked at him) - have any one of you seen his throwing motion - AWKWARD! Kitna may become reliable, but he hasn't been so far. RB, easy: LT, McGahee WR: Evans for sure. The others there is no clear cut choice, but I'd go Plax without too many second thoughts. I'd stick with Vinni at kicker unless he is ruled out, so far it looks pretty safe. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245850
yarn19 0 Posted October 19, 2006 1. Lefty 2. McGahee 3. CJ... and probably Plax (although that one is tougher) 4. maybe feely... could be a score fest... Here's my dilemma http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245857

Well the natural instinct is to drop kitna and pickup Lefty, but believe it or not, Year to date Kitna is the #3 rated QB overall in the league. based on that, I wouldnt be dropping him. If dropping any QB, I'd drop Brady. Without a true #1 WR, he's no longer a top 10 QB. although you may have spare players in other positions that are better to drop. At RB, LT and McGahee are no brainers (in my opinion) Rhodes wont outperform either of those guys. In fact, if you had another RB, I'd suggest dropping Rhodes to pickup Lefty as noted above, but with only 3 RB's and 2 to start, you'd best hang onto him. Keyshaun has had an awesome year, but with the return of Smith, I dont know if his numbers will drop or not.... Chad Johnson is the man if he is healthy and ready to go. I'd give that a double check before your deadline to submit rosters though. I'm not sure just how healthy he is at the moment. if he's healthy I'd start him and Plaxico. If he's not healthy, I'd start Keyshaun in his place. Not a big fan of Evans. I still dont believe in his QB or his team, and as such, wouldnt bet on him. Especially against the pats. Hope this helps you see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245757

Ray_T 786 Posted October 21, 2006 I'd say Brees is an automatic must start.
