IGotWorms 4,058 Posted October 30, 2006 So Wali had another good game, albeit against the Titans. What are people's expectations for Lundy the rest of the year? Is he a solid #2 back at this point? Or is that expecting too much? His remaining schedule is: @NYG @JAX BUF @NYJ @OAK TEN (playoffs-most leagues) @NE (playoffs) IND (playoffs) CLE He faces some tough run defenses in the next three weeks but after that its a piece of cake other than NE. So will Lundy be a second half monster or a two-game flash in the pan?
kilroy69 1,251 Posted October 30, 2006 I have him and I think he is a 2 game flash in the pan. Its not so much him as the pathetic line. It was a great game by him aganst the Jags but the Tenn Run D sucks and that made him look good.I am trying to move him as quick as I can now he has put together back to back 10 plus point games. socratespython 0 Posted October 30, 2006 I think the only game I him in is against NE and maybe NYG. The rest of those games seem to be against weak run defenses.
gobuckeyes 0 Posted October 30, 2006 If he can show he's at least a decent RB the rest of the way the Ten and Indy games are pretty nice matchups. However, he doesn't play on a very good team, particularly when it comes to running the ball. I wouldn't expect him to be an every week starter for the rest of the way. hoffdaddy 1 Posted October 30, 2006 Whether you like the team or not isn't all that relevant. He's a starting running back, so he has value. Gado and Dayne have done nothing all season in that same offense. To me, that means Lundy is their best option. I wouldn't start Lunday against good defenses, but he's got a chance for decent days against the weaker teams. And it's funny to me that guys like Leon Washington are labeled the second coming after a few good games, but Lundy is just not that good.
cp429 0 Posted October 30, 2006 I agree with all that Hoff Not sure of the logic of those answers from the other people. The Texans line is much improved this year (relative to their past) and I didnt know a team had to be excellent to have a solid running game. Not even citing DD from Texans's past, I think there are some solid backs on bad teams. If you want to consider the team,The Texans should improve down the stretch this year and they have been competive in most of their games. Considering the offensive options on the team, outside of Andre Johnson, I would think Lundy has to be a good option in the passing attack as well. I cant say Moulds has lit up the short or intermediate gains, hence all this Owen Daniels activity .. As long as the coaching staff keeps his backup running back away from goal line carries, Lundy can be a solid RB 2. Consider how many touches he will be getting and what he has done with them. This guy will get tons of garbage yards too on dump passes.. My reservation- I am a bit curious why the team went away from the run (they did bring it reasonably close in hindsight) in the 2nd half and even went to ron dayne for I would say 1/2 of the second half. I also think those run defenses are that scary as they have all had good games put on them. Whether you like the team or not isn't all that relevant. He's a starting running back, so he has value. Gado and Dayne have done nothing all season in that same offense. To me, that means Lundy is their best option. EndAround 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Once Alexander is back, Lundy will be riding bench for me again. I've also got C Taylor, D Williams, and L Jordan. I may hold on to Lundy, though. If the Madden Curse strikes again, Lundy's playoff schedule looks OK - TEN, @NE, IND. If I'm fortunate enough to make it to the finals, and Alexander hasn't shown much, Lundy at home vs. Indy's second string is a pretty good matchup.
cp429 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Its nice to see My 5th and 6th round picks - Lundy and Mike Bell are finally doing something - Been a tough battle this year- 14 team- 3rd in points for , 2nd points against- Now 4-4 (like 10th best) after starting 0-3.. Lundy needed time and Mike needed a turf toe inury to get him in.. I guess the original Lundy Believers can rejoice in victory- this guy will have a big second half

BrownsWon 0 Posted October 31, 2006 Whether you like the team or not isn't all that relevant. He's a starting running back, so he has value. If this is true, why won't anyone take Lamont Jordan off my hands?
DaBears23 0 Posted October 31, 2006 9 receptions over the last two games is valuble whether he plays a good run d or not.
kilroy69 1,251 Posted October 31, 2006 I am trying to move him as quick as I can now he has put together back to back 10 plus point games. I did just that. I moved Wali and Heath Miller for M. Turner and L.J. Smith.
Churchill610 0 Posted October 31, 2006 He can die an agonizing death for all I care. I drafted him really late in 2 leagues and dropped his butt weeks ago 'cuz he wasn't playin'. Screw you, Wali!!
