bigbadbuff 0 Posted October 31, 2006 I have 2 homework questions I am stuck with- one involves solving row equivalent matrices, and the other involves sets and functions. I would just post them here but the math symbols won't translate on web pages. Please reply in this thread if you can lend a quick hand and I will pm/email you, whichever you prefer. Thanks gents... bigbadbuff 0 Posted October 31, 2006 OK here is one. It is one big matrix. Determine the solutions of the system of equations whose matrix is row equivalent to [1 0 -1 1] [0 1 3 1] [0 0 0 0] Give 3 examples of the solutions.
Cdub100 3,382 Posted October 31, 2006 OK here is one. It is one big matrix.Determine the solutions of the system of equations whose matrix is row equivalent to [1 0 -1 1] [0 1 3 1] [0 0 0 0] Give 3 examples of the solutions. There are no nonzero's in the the third row so that means Z is arbitrary x = z+1 y = -3z+1 z is arbitrary
