OB1 33 Posted July 1, 2004 16 teams, 24 rounds, 384 picks. It was indeed a monster, and we made it through the rollercoaster. I laughed: At grandpahoo's hilarious commentary ,EMoney getting bent out of shape by the ribbing he took , and the Rohan Davey pick I cried: when EMoney or ICEMAN was on the clock. Some thoughts on individual frafters: Who is J.Galt? He is the focking man, that's who. Whoisjgalt deserves a ton of credit and thanks, he provided many ideas for league rules, helped set up the website, and pretty much ran the show during the draft. He took lists, made phonecalls, and updated the threads, sometimes making it seem like he didn't friggin sleep!! Without galt the draft might not have started yet. Thanks again for all your help! Orgazmo and wilzone: Their efforts should not go unrewarded either, O offered up the sanctuary as a draft mirror, and along with wilzone took many a list and made more than a few calls to hoo and each other to keep us moving. Mark Buffington: Took lists as well, though not quite as many as some of the above listed guys. He also bickered with CMT and frafted circles arounof him which was nice. He also added some hilarity at the Sanctuary IAMABOOBIE thread! Bitter Naval Frizz, cornerback, JasperisOK. I hate drafting via proxy, and these guys basically did an entire 24 round dynasty via wireless devices and e-mail lists to keep us going. While others couldn't even manage to pick when logged into the site , these guys were hardly around and even more rarely the cause of any delay. They deserve a special thanks for being good sports and 'team players'. grandpahoo: :ph34r: Similar to the guys above, he drafted via e-mail and cellphone, not letting his limited access hinder the fraft. What makes him get a special entry are his priceless commentary and Miss Cleo inspired draft picks. Also, how did hoo take a guy named Hyme(n) without commentary from SOMEONE? You guys are slipping. windycitydraftstopper and EWalmart: Both of these guys started out the draft on a few lists; shiite lists. windy because of a trip to NY, and EFocker because he is EFocker. Both rebounded and in the end were the model of drafting efficiency compared to our next frafter. ICEFOCKER: What can I say, we've found a worse drafter than EMoney. If we weren't waiting 5 hours for him to pick while he was listed as online or trying to get his attention because he picked a guy in round 22 taken in round 5, we were trying to figure out if he was still alive because he forgot to tell us he was moving and wouldn't have access. The good news is that his team SUXOR (see his roster and Rohan Davey) and we'll get to kick his ass on a regular basis for the next few seasons at least! Speaking of rosters, get to know yours because I would bet that if you don't already have a mail from scooby offering a trade, you will very soon. Scooby was mailing quite a few people during the fraft, but it was rarley about lists. This guy traditionally turns his dynasty rosters over more in a month than most redraft owners do in a year. The Unknown Soldier and Farmer Bernie: They drafted teams and stuff :| Last but not least, there is co-commish CMT. Yep, you heard me, co-commish. He is probably as shocked as the rest of you since he seems to have forgotten! Overall though it was a pretty successful draft, and I thank all of you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to make it happen.
