berryhill 0 Posted December 28, 2006 Hello Fantasy Football Gods, Ok, thanks to all of you, I've made the Championship game.... This is for a thousand bucks to the winner, so, any help with my starting lineup would be greatly appreciated. This is who I have starting this week; please interject any opinions or changes that you would make. Again, I really appreciate your input, honesty, and time helping me out a bit. Starting Lineup: QB: Peyton Manning hosting Miami (Miami has a tough D) RB: Reggie Bush hosting Carolina (You never know what Reggie will do) RB: Ron Dayne hosting Cleveland (Ron Dayne has been great, and he is playing the 3rd worst Run Defense in the league with Cleveland) WR: Laveranues Coles hosting Oakland (Oakland has a very tough Defense, but, it's Coles we're talking about... WR: Larry Fitzgerald @ San Diego (Same situation at L.Coles; and I know that Leinart will more than likely not be playing). TE: Tony Gonzalez hosting Jacksonville (I think Gonzo can exploit Jacksonville, gutt feeling). PK: Nate Keading hosting Arizona (Keading is money, and SD scores a ton). D: Chicago Bears hosting Green Bay (Chicago's been money all year long). Bench: QB: Philip Rivers hosting Arizona (again, not sure if Philip Rivers will play this game) RB: Edgerrin James @ San Diego (not a good matchup) RB: Corey Dillon @ Tennessee (not too sure how good Tennessee's Run D is)? WR: Vincent Jackson hosting Arizona (VJax has been the man in SD with all the injuries, however, I'm not sure if San Diego will play Philip Rivers since they have the division locked up. WR: Darrell Jackson @ Tampa Bay (DJax is hurt) TE: Alge Crumpler @ Philidelphia Some questions I have are: Do you think Indy will keep Peyton in the game, even though they have the playoff spot locked up? Any basically, what do you think about my starting lineup; would you change anything up? Thanks again for everything!!!!!
Texansfan 0 Posted December 28, 2006 First of all, SD has to win to keep the #1 seed. If they lose and Baltimore wins, the lose it. So you can expect Rivers to play. And I do like VJax too. I might consider him over Coles who is dinged up and playing a very tough secondary. Other than that I think you're good. Good Luck! Please look at mine! berryhill 0 Posted December 28, 2006 From Texansfan : OK, made it to the championship game! Due to some injuries (DJax & K.Jones) I have some issues with my flex spot. Options are: M.Pittman vs. Sea - Decent if Caddy is out V.Jackson vs. Arz - Solid the past couple weeks, but will he get enough looks? D.Rhodes vs. Mia - Scared to use him after last week Kicker: J.Elam vs. SF - Good matchup and at home, health and weather a factor? D.Akers vs. ATL - Weather issues maybe?i] Texansfan, I would play V.Jackson.... he's been on fire. For your kicker, I would go with Elam; I think the game will be higher scoring game than the Phily v. ATL game. Thanks for your help; I might plug VJax in my lineup too... it's just so hard to take out Coles.
mdm_1971 0 Posted December 28, 2006 Youre line up looks right but I am with maybe going vjax instead of coles due to possibe injury to coles..... Chargers will play everybody due to they play at the same time as The ravens so won't have homefield unless they win.
bunnerjk 0 Posted December 28, 2006 As long as Coles is healthy, I would stay put. I don't see why Peyton wouldn't be playing the entire game, they still have a shot at the #2 spot.
Dr Hook 6 Posted December 28, 2006 I think you should go with your gut. If SD needs a win then you should play VJax. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=262464
Scorpion 0 Posted December 28, 2006 I have to agree, I'd put in V. Jackson for Coles Also, Warner tends to throw to either Boldin OR Fitzgerald. You may have the right one this week. My Topic
joshb1975 0 Posted December 28, 2006 Looks pretty good to me...except for the SD thing that everyone else has mentioned. They do still need to win to get home field advantage. I look for them to play a real game. And yes, I think Manning will play. If he does sit, it will be after throwing a few TDs anyway. mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=262494

It is an important game for SD and I wouldn't want to mess with Coles. Good luck Any thoughts on my TE situation? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=262500
