Fred Sanford 0 Posted January 10, 2007 I would go with an LCD or DLP. Plasma's get too hot and you risk the burn in factor with plasma that you don't have with the other two. As far as which TV, I think Samsung has a great picture. If you go to Best Buy or any other place that carries Samsung you can see how superior their picture is when viewed side by side with other TV's. I went through this same process about 2 months ago. I went with the 37" Polaroid LCD flatscreen from Walmart. It has a very good picture and not as expensive as some others. I was going to buy from Best Buy but their service plan is 4 years where other places will allow you to buy a lesser warranty.

SUXBNME 1,499 Posted January 10, 2007 I just bought a 61" Samsung DLP, but I didn't have to buy any service plan or warrenty. I just said no. Then you bought it at the wrong place, sparky While Samsung is "top of the line", if you get it at a Costco, you get a lifetime warranty. No hassles, no sh1t

ROBOKOP 0 Posted January 10, 2007 42" Plasma Samsung from Wal-Mart. It seems to work just fine with the Xbox 360, football games and such.
joneo 556 Posted January 10, 2007 Every time I go to a store with numerous selections, Samsung LCD stands out as the best picture. EVERY TIME. I view them from a distance and have no bias since I can't see the brand name. I personally don't care foe the plasma. It appears to me it is a fuzzy picture compared to LCD. However, plasma does appear to show better color.
