And how many hundreds of thousands (millions?) of pounds of fuel is it going to take to get the performers to and from the concert?

Way to help out.

I'd love to go to this concert and get a backstage pass for the express purpose of punching Al Gore in the face in front of his whole family (and hopefully the entire world).

I don't watch or listen to any of them anyway. Some I have hated, and know I have a good reason for it. Thanks for the post.

I've never really understood why Americans think throwing a huge concert is the key to solving shiit. We've been doing this crap since Hands Across America and Farm Aid. Sounds more to me like an excuse to throw a hella concert!

I wouldnt catch any of these smug azz biitch a thons if Hendrix were on lead with Jesus himself on drums. The level of pseudo self importance and righteous indignity should be visible from space. What an utter waste of funds and time.

Well, here is your answer:

Promoters said the concerts — dubbed Live Earth — could reach 2 billion people through attendance or broadcasts. Proceeds will create a foundation to combat climate change led by The Alliance for Climate Protection, which is chaired by Gore.

I'm guessing it has a deeper reach than internet chat boreds. :dunno:

I thank God everyday that Al invented the internet by dumping used oil into the wetlands across the street from my house.
