KSB2424 3,172 Posted February 22, 2007 This reminds me that Heisman winner Charlie Ward was not even drafted by the NFL. Do you think with the emergence of McNabb, Vick, Young ect. If Charlie played in this era, he would be drafted?

Sometimes, I am amazed that I didn't know certain things. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that there was a President of the United States named Chester A. Arthur. If Charlie played in this era, he would be drafted? I believe one of the big reasons Charlie Ward was not drafted was that he refused to commit to playing football and just football - he was leaving his NBA options open. Turns out he made the right decision as he made a shitload more cash in the NBA. FWIW - Heath Shuler ran a faster 40 at the combine that year
