bostonlager 2,678 Posted March 1, 2007 I just called some po-dunk fire department in West Virginia and after about 15 rings I get a recording that says they're not able to come to the phone right now. What do those in WV do in the event of a fire?

bostonlager 2,678 Posted March 1, 2007 and you dialed 911? No, I dialed their direct line. If I dial 911 I will get the Cincinnati FD.
GobbleDog 1,010 Posted March 1, 2007 I once called 911 and said 'I don't have an emergency, I just need to be tranfered to the Sherrif's office.' She got angry and said "...you seriously called 911 just to have your call tranfered?" Apparently 911 operators don't consider themselves operators. She still transfered my call.
