Anyone ever call the fire department

I just called some po-dunk fire department in West Virginia and after about 15 rings I get a recording that says they're not able to come to the phone right now.

 

 

What do those in WV do in the event of a fire?

In the event of a fire, call 911 and they will dispatch the Fire Dept.

No, I dialed their direct line. If I dial 911 I will get the Cincinnati FD.

I once called 911 and said 'I don't have an emergency, I just need to be tranfered to the Sherrif's office.' She got angry and said "...you seriously called 911 just to have your call tranfered?" Apparently 911 operators don't consider themselves operators.

 

 

 

She still transfered my call.
