RLLD 4,283 Posted March 11, 2007 West - UNC East - Florida Midwest - OSU South - Kansas I would agree after today. That being said, Kansas will be the first #1 to fall, they really should not have won today, but sometimes the ball just bounces your way I guess.

JT 137 Posted March 11, 2007 I just don't care where they're seeded, so I'll leave that to others. But Kansas, Ohio St, Florida & UNC is my prediction.

BrahmaBulls 1,012 Posted March 11, 2007 Slap in the face to Ohio St. Florida not only gets #1 but gets the Midwest too. Baffling.
bigtuna 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Midwest Kansas (Georgetown as #2) South UNC (Wisconson as #2) West OSU (with UCLA as the #2) East Florida (memphis as the #2)
JT 137 Posted March 11, 2007 Slap in the face to Ohio St. Florida not only gets #1 but gets the Midwest too. Baffling. Why? In a big game, head-to-head, Florida made Ohio State look second rate.

BrahmaBulls 1,012 Posted March 11, 2007 Why? In a big game, head-to-head, Florida made Ohio State look second rate. Didn't Vanderbilt beat Florida silly? Also want to add Florida lost 3 of their last 5 regular season games. Ohio State didn't do anything to deserve losing the top overall seed. Beat the piss out of Wisconsin today while Florida played an NIT team.
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted March 11, 2007 UNC was the #2 seed overall.

JT 137 Posted March 11, 2007 Didn't Vanderbilt beat Florida silly? But the point is, the committee has already reduced the pool to the four #1's. Now, what distinguishes one from the other? They're all conference champs. I don't know how, or if, they reduced it to OSU & Florida. But if they did, what's a better comparison? How Florida did vs Vandy, or how they fared head-to-head? Had it been remotely close, maybe that would matter. But it wasn't. Or maybe the committee members just have eyes and saw both teams play.
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted March 11, 2007 And Florida will probably get Memphis as the #2 seed. Heels will get either Wisconsin or Georgetown.

JT 137 Posted March 11, 2007 Purdue is in. Old Dominion is in. Good to see ODU in. Better than rewarding yet another middle of the pack major conference team. ND - Winthrop. Pretty salty first round matchup.

Tarheel Boy 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Wow, the Big Ten gets the shaft. Wisconsin is considered the last #2 seed. UNLV or Georgia Tech could beat them in the 2nd round. Winthrop!~!!!! They could beat Notre Dame
JT 137 Posted March 11, 2007 Purdue is in. Old Dominion is in. Georgia Tech is in. Death knell for Drexel? Who else? Wow, the Big Ten gets the shaft. Wisconsin is considered the last #2 seed. UNLV or Georgia Tech could beat them in the 2nd round. Again, apparently the committee members have eyes. How about Kentucky - Nova!

Tarheel Boy 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Damn, the Heels have a tough road on paper at least. Tough 2nd round game and whether it's USC or Texas it won't be easy. To be the #2 seed overall they should have gotten Memphis if they are a #2 seed. I can't think of what other team will be a #2. The South is the weakest bracket. I think the West and East are equally tough.

BrownsFan 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Ohio State couldn't be in the midwest - it would have meant they'd potentially play on their home court, which the committee wouldn't permit.
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted March 11, 2007 Good chance one of us is sending a hat to the other. Yep, it could very well happen. This is a tough bracket.
Isotopes 1 Posted March 12, 2007 Ohio State couldn't be in the midwest - it would have meant they'd potentially play on their home court, which the committee wouldn't permit. There is more han one location for first and second round games that feed the St Louis Regionals. ETA: I just looked it up and the games in Columbus actually don't feed St Louis at all. They feed San Jose and San Antonio.
