Good to see some success. Apparently it's just small sections of the city but hopefully it can grow. The news report doesn't say, but I'm gonna guess all five areas are Shiite.

Nah. I planned to stay in for 20-30 years, but only gave 12. Once my first child was born I decided my first duty was not to her and her mom, and I had given all I needed to my country at that point. I did not re-enlist any further.

I'm on record as supporting the 'surge'. Bush said that Baghdad would be secured by IRAQI forces by summer and all 18 provinces by November. - Fine. He set the timetable. He better hold to it. After that, we maintain a small force to be on-call - and we get the fock outta there.
