NAn 39 Posted July 19, 2007 To prepare FFTodayers for the upcoming ’07 season, starting 5/14 will post threads listing offensive players by NFL team and invite posters to attach projections to each offensive player. Posting of just commentary on one or multiple players, instead of projections is welcomed and encouraged as well. Will post 3 team threads per week (2 during 4th of July week) alphabetically by team city, so will have all 32 NFL teams posted before August 1st. Through beginning of FF season will hopefully have this thread pinned as an ‘Archives’ thread, so will have opportunity to post replies for any previous team at any time. Guest JahRasta311 Posted July 23, 2007 I think Vincent Jackson has a shot to put up 800+ yards, 1000 if defenses stack against the run. The addition of Craig Davis is going to help his numbers by providing a speedy deep threat to keep defenses honest. Him and Rivers have a great amount of rapport dating back to their days as 2nd stringers practicing together. I also think that he has a shot to score 8-10 TDs with the size advantage he has over DBs in the redzone. Rivers I'll go with 3500-4000 yds and 25-30 TDs, ~20 interceptions. I believe that if Davis is not the opening day starter opposite Jackson, he will break into the starting lineup within a few weeks. While I'm not sure LT can match his numbers from last season, I still think he'll put up the best numbers of any RB.

And Rivers puts up those sort of stats, what would this make SD, one of the best Off. ever? With LT getting 20+ TDs how can you say Rivers will put up 25-30? With LT getting 20+ TDs how can you say Rivers will put up 25-30? It is reasonable that P. Rivers throws for 3700 yards in '07 (3388 in '06), that's only about 19.5 yds more per game- if Rivers can through 38.25 more yds per game he will throw for 4000. This is reasonable because everyone will be focusing on LT. It is reasonable that P. Rivers throws for 27 td's in '07 (22 in '06); that's only an increase of .3125 per game. Once again everyone will focus on LT which will open up the pass. I am a Charger fan and I am not expecting LT to score 31 td's in 2007. But it is absolutely reasonable that he rush for 1500+ yds (yearly career rushing avg = 1529). LT has avg 19.5 TD's per year (rec and passing TD's included) for the last 6 years, so LT scoring a reasonable amount of TD's... say 15-18 in '07 is probably accurate. They will have a dominating offense in '07 with the best RB in the game, the best TE in the game and and All Pro QB in P. Rivers.
cblue 0 Posted July 24, 2007 Everyone knows that V. Jackson is a 3rd year receiver and he will be better in '07. Don't forget about M. Floyd, he was seeing more time than V. Jackson before he got hurt. That is why V. Jackson saw so much playing time last year. I think Floyd got hurt when he caught one of the TD's in the comeback win over dem BANGALS.
