Brown Eyed Girl 1 Posted August 12, 2007 No relationship is perfect and I'm sure they probably have their fair share of ups and downs - just like the rest of us. The important thing is that they seem to still be hanging in there - together - and making it work for them.

Day Old Doughnut 0 Posted August 12, 2007 They both act like kids in middle school fighting and arguing over the most juvenile shiot I've seen. First, BigPete proclaims he's leaving an internet message board in which I hope he realizes no one gives a damn if he posts again or not. Then we find out his girlfriend gets all upset over something he posts on an internet message board. Are you kidding me???? Both of them have so much growing up to do it's unreal. I hope they finally reach adulthood. There really are things to be stressed out over during a lifetime, but these two seem to be trapped in the 7th grade. The only thing that I don't get is that his posts haven't changed...before they "met" be was posting the same BS stories and the same BS about hot chicks and blah blah blah. Did she think that would change? Did she think that he'd suddenly become all chivalrous and stop posting things like that? Otherwise, I do agree that both do have some growing up to do, and I still stand by my response that BP is in a different time of life than saw is...she is a single mom, there are so many other things going on in her life. Personally? If I were a single mom, I wouldn't be wasting my time with BS like this, but that's just me. If they are happy, then I guess that's all that matters. edjr 6,580 Posted August 13, 2007 No relationship is perfect and I'm sure they probably have their fair share of ups and downs - just like the rest of us. Who has ups and downs in the 1st 3 months of a relationship? if you do, that is a sure fire sign it's never going to work.
ADD1CT36 1 Posted August 13, 2007 Who has ups and downs in the 1st 3 months of a relationship? if you do, that is a sure fire sign it's never going to work. not true. in fact, those couples that have ups and downs in the first 3 months and stick it out tend to last longer overall. the first 3 months are often the "proving grounds" where couples figure each other out and if they are being open and honest with themselves, they work out all the possible "kinks" that could have caused problems down the road. and no, not THOSE "kinks" although i guess that's part of it too. this is especially true when you're talking about a long distance relationship and you are deciding if it's even worth working out all the kinks in the first place. besides there are lots of couples who have "peaceful" relationships which are totally fraudalent and based on convenience more than anything. I've had 5 relationships that lasted over 1 year and 3 that lasted over 3 years. I think I know what I'm talking about. It's pretty simple with me. it's my way or there is no way. But when you take into consideration a situation such as theirs - where one has relocated from another state to be where the other is, had to find a new job/career, new friends, new life altogether - that would be a HUGE adjustment for both people! I think it would only be natural to have some rough spots while getting through that kind of transition. Doesn't have to mean anything bad or that they are doomed to have their relationship fail... not at all. jmo.
