Turf Nazi 0 Posted August 28, 2007 I forgot my draft order, but I took Addai, Portis, then Gates in the first 3 rounds. Hasselbeck, Schaub Addai Portis Betts Rhodes (screwed up this pick, I need to drop Rhodes and pick up a bye week replacement for Portis and Betts) Lee Evans Branch Mark Clayton (Bal) Greg Jennings Gates Scaife Mare Josh Brown Chicago Oakland A few draft day notes...there was a HUGE run on QBs in the late 2nd round, so I had to take an early pick on Hasselbeck, as Romo was take two spots before him. I picked Dominic Rhodes as my RB #4 bye week replacement, and I even knew he wasn't back from suspension until week 6, but the beer got to me
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted August 28, 2007 Your team looks good, but has little depth. I'm not real fond of Portis due to his injuries but picking up Betts was a good move. You obviously have the best TE and Addai was a solid pick. Considering the circumstances, I think Hasselback will be just fine as your QB. You're receivers are not that great. Evans is good, but Branch and Clayton may or may not be good. You won't have to worry about a D except for the bye week. As you already know, definitely drop Rhodes and find someone better. escot4 0 Posted August 28, 2007 Looks pretty good. You could make up for that Rhodes pick if you're quick to pick up the unknown RB who will come out of nowhere to have a big season. You also need one of the Washington RBs to quickly establish himself as the go-to guy. Personally, I don't tend to back up my TE or DEF. You could just get one off waivers before the bye week. I would have drafted another RB and WR.

raisedbywolves 0 Posted August 28, 2007 good backs, and good thing picking up betts in case portis goes down with injury again. the rhodes pick was kinda eh though. be on the lookout on the waiver wire. you kinda lack a lotta depth at wr ... lee evans is good, but worried about how tough buffalo's schedule is, and branch should be solid, but mark clayton has a high ankle sprain that may or may not be detrimental and jennings fell off towards the end of last year and has looked iffy in preseason. but you have gates and that should solidify things a little. hasselbeck's on the lower end of my qb1 rankings, and schaub could be somewhat of a sleeper, but he really doesn't have many weapons in houston ... i predict a lotta throws to andre johnson and maybe some to owen daniels and then handoffs to ahman green. but overall, not bad. help with mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=282330
BunnysBastatrds 2,447 Posted August 28, 2007 Thanks for responding to my post. I like your draft a lot. I see a lot of people with Branch, Clayton, and Jennings also. FFToday had them ranked higher than most, and I took their advice. We shall see. I also like linking Hasselback to Branch. I was not able to do so with either of my top two WR's. We had a hard run on QB's also. Brees went first round #8, and Manning #10, and Brady # 12 of the first round. There were ten QB's gone by the end of the 4th round. Crazy!!! I got stuck with "The Madden Curse".
