Trading for Brandon Jacobs

Is Jacobs going to be out 4 weeks? Could this type of injury linger all season long?

 

I am thinking of buying low on him. What do you think? Is is worth it to offer guys like Ahman Green for Jacobs? PPR league.

Ahman Green might be worth the trade. I think the potential of Jacobs is higher if he's healthy when he comes back. Who are your other RBs? Can you absorb the blow of having a guy that's out for a month or maybe longer?

I passed on Jacobs in the draft because the whole NYG thing just seems screwed up. They should be good, but they're in confusion. That being said, I would say trading Green for Jacobs is worth it if you start two RB's and have decent third backup RB to get you through. I'm just not that crazy about Green anyway so I would do the deal, but that's me, just because it appears to be an upgrade. - However you should read the injury reports thoroughly, as 1 month injuries are not minor things and can linger; and also who knows Ward could take off (I have no idea why, but he could) and Green is at least playing and starting.

what does the rest of your team look like? I thought about similar plan but was offering Tatum Bell.

 

I am very deep at RB and this would very much depend on who else you have.

I would not trade a starting RB for him. Who knows how he will respond to his treatment and recovery. If you can get him for a backup then possibly.

I have Jacobs and would never take him for Green who might get hurt himself down the road. So to answer your question yes I'd try and get him for green esp since you have Ward.

I guess i'm in the minority, but I would pass. Obviously the Texans aren't the 2nd coming of the 90's Cowboys, but I like Ahman Green as a fit there, and he's definitely the guy-if you trade him for Jacobs you are stuck starting some real turds whereas Ahman is a reasonable start if he has the right matchup.

This one is a little tough........I don't think I would do it you are already pretty good at RB, and don't need to risk it with Jacobs. If Ward keeps performing like Monday he could be the 20 - 20 guy and Jacobs the red zone back like last year, making both decent plays but you wouldn't play both I'm sure. I would keep the starter Green.

i'd do it assuming you start 2 RBs and there isnt a flex spot

 

it's not like you'll ever start ahman green anyway and jacobs has a lot of potential. if jacobs has continual problems, you do have ward who i'd think would equal green in PPR if ward was "the" starter.

I have Brandon Jacobs on my team and if someone offered me Green for him I would not do the trade, so in your case I would try to trade Ahman Green to acquire Jacobs. I think Jacobs is the real deal and the undiputed starter with plenty of touches coming his way when healthy. Please see mine.
