Broncos - 26th against the rush so far.

Obviously, the Jags don't have the peronsal to throw vs Bailey et al. I can see at least 40 rushing plays for the Jags to have a chance.

some perspective, this is a better match-up for MJD than Reggie Bush vs Titans.

Anyone going to give it one more week?

My alternative is TJones vs the Fins.

Talk me out of it, or say keep hope alive!

Well, if I were in your shoes I'd definitely go with T. Jones.

However, I have both of these guys and YES I am starting MJD with TJ

I am sitting him and I tell you why. I made a huge mistake drafting MJD just like everyone reading this post did. I did not even know that they changed Offensive Cordinators in Jacksonville. This O Cord doesn't like to run the ball period. I have know idea why the headcoach can't see that they suck donkey balls when they try to play a way that is not thier strength.

:pointstosky:

I listen to FFtoday thats why I drafted him.

The guy scores something like 16 TD's last year as a rookie so they decide to give him the rock what, 18 TIMES this year. Pull your heads out of your FOCKING A$$ Jags!!!!!

The guy didn't even have double digit carries in 8 of the 15 fantasy relevant games last season, with only 3 of those having more than 15 carries. And of course Taylor re-upped. Anyone who drafted him should have known exactly what they were getting into.

I want to sit him until Jacksonville demonstrates an understanding of what a running back is and does. However, my options in his place are JJ, Chris Brown, and Foster.

You are right. I can not argue that. I blew it on this one but I read and article on this site that said something to the effect that RB's that score a ton of TD's tend to come back the next year and score a ton again. They listed MJD. Barber, Dillion, and so forth. What can I say I drank the Kool Aid.

The Doors song "LA Woman" states it best......IS THE MOJO RISING.....IS THE MOJO RISING......KEEP ON RISIN....KEEP ON RISIN...

Don't worry boyz. Once Jack Be Nimble Rio realizes that Garrard, though safe, is not the quarterback for the Dallas Desperados and that MOJO and FREDDY are THE TEAM, the engine will get going again. MOJO is the real deal....just wait.

MJD was absolutely dynamic last year. One of the most explosive players in football last year. Why he is not seeing the ball is beyond me.

I drank the kool-aid too....but I was one of the many that got him off the WW last year after week 4....

AND I'm shocked at the lack of attempts. I think DelRio will soon be having some say as to what to do with the ball if they're getting creamed by half-time. My guess - when they're obviously out of comeback range in the 4th, that he slams MLD the rock 7-10 times in a row to see if he has the mustard....or more over, does his o-line.

Well I'm stuck starting MJD but I think I would go with Thomas Jones against what has been a weak Miami D so far if I had that option.

I dont really want to start the guy but with injuries to Jacobs and A Johnson I am forced to. Hopefully he finds paydirt this weekend.

After the first 2 games last year MJD only had 4 carries for 12 yds and 2 rec. for 6 yds. So look on the bright side he's outproducing last year's pace so far. :fingerscrossed:

I too, regret the pick, but hindsight's 20/20. I was going to start A. Green instead this week, but with Andre not playing and Green a little banged up, I'm going to stick with MJD one more week. I think we have to be patient on MJD. He was a late bloomer last year and there's no reason he can't be this year too. I drafted extra RBs in part because of my MJD pick, so I'm not too worried. And if Fred doesn't make it the whole year, I've got a hot commodity.

Good thing Romo and Roy W. have carried my azz so far (2-0).

I also drank the kool aid and drafted MJD. I picked him up last year in my supplamental draft after week 4. He ripped it up and helped me win my championship. He was my 2nd round pick this year even though I knew what the deal was with the RBBC. I however drafed caddy and lendale. This week I am starting caddy in his place. I cant afford to have another day of getting 4 points from MOJO.

The thing that scares me the most is not the touches it is the fact that they are changing offensive philosiphies. This could screw MJD's numbers up all year and I didn't see it coming. It's like playing poker and going all in with your straight because you didn't see the flush on the board. It's makes it ten times worse because we all should have seen it coming. :overhead:

I think that Gabe Kotter has more of an offensive philosophy than Dirk Koetter. He's as pathetic as the Raiders OC from last year. Hopefully both him and his boss will be looking for jobs next year.

Well I just traded for MJD, giving up Betts in return. I have my starters already in Henry and Maroney, although I would like Maroney to get it going. But I figured that MJD has a better chance to turn things around than Betts, especially with the injuries to WAS OL.

We will see...

I'm starting him, but I also get points for return yardage, which is usually a pretty good safety net for him in my league (it wasn't last week, though, with 2 touchbacks).

I've watched Drew play since high school, and I honestly believe he is one of the most purely talented football players I have ever seen. He's just short. Drew can score on any given play. He simply hasn't gotten many plays.

And, I've watched the Jags games in their entirety the last two weeks. Drew was a fluke Marcedes Lewis jump and knee to the football, which forced a fumble, from probably scoring in Week 1. It would have been first and goal from like the 5 or 6. That's Drew territory. Last week, he almost broke a 4th and 1 for a score, but his elbow hit the ground.

I'm also not too concerned (yet) with Dirk Koetter. I doubt Dirk will want to get fired from his job two years in a row.

So he got fired last year for sucking too! That gives me a lot of confidence. They are not giving MJD the rock man and this O cord like to throw it. We need something from this guy now.

Yes, he was fired last year, too. He was the head coach at Arizona St.

Hmmmmmmm and Arizona State's record was? Also did they like to run the football or throw it? This just gets better and better. This O cord. must be someones brother or son because he obviously has no talent at all.

Well as with all MJD owners I am concerned, however it is only week 2 and too early to hit the panic button. I have always tried to give a guy 4 weeks that seems to be an accurate amount of time to see how a guy will do over the course of a season. MJD was a definate risk vs. reward player for me, and I am hoping the rest of my team that I drafted will be consistant to carry me so that all my chances don't rely on just MJD. Having said that I am benching him this week against Denver and if after week 4 he or the Jags Offense is not producing then I will make a decision on him. I recently made a trade for Maroney so I feel as though I can be a little more patient with MJD. And of course being an owner of MJD I am convinced he will return to form and probably break LTs TD record!

They were 7-6 last year.

As for the no talent comment, well, ASU was fantastic offensively last year. Their defense was terrible and many thought the program was out of control. The Sun Devils, under Koetter, were known for throwing the hell out of the ball, but they were actually well-balanced last year. They threw for 2569 yards (198 ypg) and ran for 2206 yards (170 ypg). They were 42nd in the country in total offense, and were 27th in rushing offense. So, they ran it really well last season.

He's also the guy that got Boise St. going.

The Jags have a bye in week 4.

If they don't start getting him the ball by Week 5, then I might think about benching him.

The thing that worries me the most about bowling ball is his lack of involvement in the passing game. Seemed to me last year he would consistently get targeted in the passing game. If Jax is gonna throw the ball so much, why not get it to MJD in space? He has shown how explosive he is when you get him the ball and let him run right over people. I really need him to turn it around as I am 0-2. Im gonna start him, but If he blows cocker spaniel again this week, Im gonna have to bench him until I see a good game out of him.

Starting MBIII vs. a tough Chicago D over MJD this week. I'm 0-2 thanks to MJD and SJax, but there's no way SJax is getting benched!
