Wheaties 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Due to bye weeks and injuries, I scrambled to make a bunch of free agent moves. Now, I need to make the following decisions: Scoring System 10 rushing yards = 1 point 10 receiving yards = 1 point All TD's = 6 points Fumble = Minus 2 points WR - Need 1 Chris Chambers (vs OAK) - Oakland allowing 256 passing ypg, 5 TD's, and 6 INT's Wes Welker (at CIN on MNF) - Cincinnati allowing 257 passing ypg, 8 TD's, and 5 INT's Patrick Crayton (vs STL) - St Louis allowing 156 passing ypg, 3 TD's, and 0 INT's FLEX - Need 1 Sammy Morris (at CIN on MNF) - Cincinnati allowing 145 rushing ypg and 2 TD's Ron Dayne (at ATL) - Atlanta allowing 142 rushing ypg and 1 TD Brian Leonard (at DAL) - Dallas allowing 86 rushing ypg and 1 TD Correll Buckhalter (at NYG on SNF) - Giants allowing 102 rushing ypg and 5 TD's ... or any remaining WR from above Looks like Dayne and Leonard are locks to get the start since Green/SJax are already ruled out. Morris is still on playing time share. I just added Buckhalter in case Westbrook is ruled out this week. I will need every single last point this week since I'm playing the league's powerhouse team... his roster makes me queasy. Please help me out with your insight. Thanks! BLT 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Chambers, he & T,Green seem to be hooking up, S.Morris he's hawking all the GL carries from Maroney.
KSB2424 3,148 Posted September 25, 2007 I think you pretty much have it pegged. Chambers and Leanard. Unless Westy is ruled OUT, I would consider Buckhalter.
Mr. Twister 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Def go with Chambers vs Oak and S. Morris. He will be hawking GL carries all year!
ThatGuy25 0 Posted September 25, 2007 I would go with Welker EASILY against Cincy as your WR. As for your Flex, I think it's between Chambers and Leonard. Leonard will get more opportunities, but Green has a history of shredding the Raiders secondary. I'd probably roll with Chambers.

josh wiley 60 Posted September 25, 2007 id say definitely start welker as he is going against cin secondary(the same team that made derek anderson look like peyton manning),and also he should be open with the defense keying on randy moss. flex id go with chris chambers if westbrook is playing, otherwise start buckhalter. Dapuma 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Chris Chambers Vs a weak Oakland secondary and Wes Welker Vs Cinci since They don't even know how to stop a pass.
BlueWorldOrder 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Expect Welker and Morris to light in up in Cincinnati on Monday night. I live in the area and that Cincy D couldn't stop a clock. The Pats will roll up big points and I like starting as many Pats as possible this week. Chambers will just let you down, you never get what you expect out of him. Plus, the Raiders pass D has the ability to be pretty good.
rottytiny 7 Posted September 26, 2007 I'd go with Welker and Morris. Pats/ Cincy has the making of a high scoring game. Good luck.
dumbassmax2001 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Normally, I would try to squeeze a RB into a flex but I think your play here is Chambers & Welker. Morris is risky and Leonard.....well if SJax couldn't get it done, I'd be hesitant here. Thanks for mine
Wheaties 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Here are the tallies so far. . . WR Chambers - 8 Welker - 2 FLEX Morris - 4 Leonard - 2 Welker - 4 Buckhalter - 2 (if Westbrook is out) Looks like Chambers is a lock for WR, which is what I was leaning towards anyway. Morris and Welker are tied for the FLEX. I think Buckhalter is really the wildcard here since he has the best chance for a big game if Westbrook is out. Fortunately, the New England guys are on Monday night, so I have the luxury of waiting until NYG/PHI gametime to see if Westbrook is out.
BigDaddy1978 0 Posted September 26, 2007 It seems to me you are pretty safe with either Chambers or Welker. I would not touch Crayton with a ten foot pole, especially after all those key drops he made last game against Chicago. As far as which one to go with, I suppose I lean a little more towards Welker just because he already sees a good number of catches, and against Cincy, there is potential for a shootout....so I say Welker, plus he feels due for a TD this week. Flex: I am kind of doubting Westbrook will be out. Just get used to seeing his name on the injury list from week to week...that is kind of his thing. I would be very surprised if he does not play this week. So, that being the case, I say go with Ron Dayne. Falcons defense is not doing much, and their offense is bad enough that the D will be on the field more than they want to. I like Leonard, but Cowboys Defense has been far better than many people would like to admit. Thanks for posting on mine.
