Byars41 0 Posted October 6, 2007 i'd do it. R.Moss is insane this year and shows no signs of slowing with Brady. if Steve Smith is stuck with Carr he's not going to do anything close to what R.Moss does. losing R.Bush hurts but Barber and Edge are better than him anyway. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=293747
Blue Balls 0 Posted October 6, 2007 thanks for the reply! Yeah, I'd do it. You still got James and Barber as your RB's. Moss is just unbelievable this year.
mainev3nt 0 Posted October 6, 2007 This at first looks great considering you are recieving Randy moss in the deal, but there are a couple of problems... To be honest this is how the trade breaks down R. Moss for S. Smith - Before the season this trade would've been thrown out immediately but as of now you could basically recieve this trade straight up Welker for J. Jones - see i dont like this portion of the trade, you probably wouldn't want to have moss and welker anyway, but j. jones' value is dwindling now because of G. Jennings, Chargers D for Bears D - Upgrade (not now in the season due to injuries to the bears), but later when most of the starters return, could be great if you make a playoff run in FF Bush for Leonard - Terrible. Leonard will be nothing in a couple of weeks when Sjax returns, and Bush's value is very high right now... He is the starter in NO and just to elaborate a lil' bit on this matter you play in a PPR, Bush will be a GREAT #2 RB for your team behind Edge, and barber would be a great spot play for the both. Dont give up too much for R. Moss... forget the RB Trade and see if you recieve a better WR from his team than JONES
Stopper 0 Posted October 6, 2007 I have to agree with mainev3nt, for the most part. I do think Moss for Smith is good, but I wouldn't give up Reggie right now.
TheGiantJets 18 Posted October 6, 2007 I think you're giving up too much in Smith and Bush. Even though they are not doing anything right now I would stick with them. Dont pull the trigger. Thanks for answering mine.
Gepetto 1,368 Posted October 6, 2007 It's a trap. You're basically giving away Reggie Bush for free. The Chicago Defense is not playing at a high level anymore. Randy Moss = Steve Smith, regardless of stats for 4 games. Keep what you've got.
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 6, 2007 i'd stay off moss. he's a hell of a player, but you have two solid PPR players in welker and bush. smith will get his points when he can get accustomed to carr. c'mon, carr can get andre johnson 1000yds and 8tds, he should be able to blow steve smith out of the water after they develop an understanding of each other. dont expect it in one or two games, but it will come. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=293761
fralag1 0 Posted October 6, 2007 It's tempting to get Moss. But it seems you are giving up to much with Smith and Bush.
Highland Chargers 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Moss is playing like it's 1999! Fire up the trade and hope you RBs don't fall to pieces...
Lil' T 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Yes, the Bears D is hurting, but as long as you get return touchdowns, it's an upgrade over San Diego. I'm not convinced that Bush will do all that much better with Deuce injured, and acquiring Moss is huge. Do it!!
BostonPatriots 0 Posted October 6, 2007 I wouldn't do that, because you do not have anyone to cover your byes for your RBs, so you would loose some depth at RB, especially if one of your RBs gets hurt. I would counter back without the RBs included. Keep Bush. thanks for mine
COACHG137 0 Posted October 6, 2007 THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP -KEEP IT COMING PLEASE WHAT ABOUT SMITH AND HUARD FOR KITNA AND MASON ( I GET THESE 2 ) CONCERNED ABOUT BEN
DEEZNUTS 18 Posted October 6, 2007 Thanks for your help on mine.. I'D DO IT! Moss is the best WR in the league, Bears are the best defense. End of story! Great trade if you can pull that off.
Me_2006 14 Posted October 6, 2007 I'd stay away from both deals. As of now, you have three very solid WRs (once Andre comes back in a few weeks, Delhomme should be back to normal too.) You've got a very good RB corps now that Reggie will likely see an increased workload with Deuce out. Big Ben should be serviceable with the talent you have at the other positions. To give up a top 5 WR in Smith to get the top guy in Moss and to give up a top 10-15 RB basically as a throw-in to that deal is madness. As you can see, with the team you have now, you can afford to play matchups or weather an injury or two. To trade your entire team for a 30-something WR with hamstring problems is a HUGE risk that a team with a core as solid as yours shouldn't take. Keep what you have and you'll be much better off in the long run.
ramblin'wreck 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Do it.. I don't think Smith will be the same with Carr throwing.. getting Moss is huge. I think it's worth it. Thanks for helping me.
bw511581 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Dont do it its a trape if you pull this trade you have no dept and an injury would kill you.
nicewolf64 0 Posted October 6, 2007 Honestly, I think you are giving up too much to get Moss.
MurOh 1 Posted October 6, 2007 Dont make the deal, Smith and Moss will be a push and Reggie is a really good back to have for PPR. Thanks for answering mine earlier.
