GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted November 20, 2007 Candystore Tuesday, November 20th: Parlay #1==> Duke even, Marquette even, Atlanta +6.5, Phoenix even, Dallas even,Cleveland LOSER I'd like to see if I lose any early games before trying for another. I like Marquette because they are just missing free throws. If they can hit them, they should roll. Duke is trying to get back after a bad year, so I like them to win, but not sure about the spread. Lebron James is going nuts lately, so I have him winning at home, but again, not sure about spreads. Atlanta +6.5, could win straight up here, as they are a much improved club this year. I hope Acie Law plays tonight, but the Hawks should still get within the spread. I can't see Dallas losing at home and I can't see Phoenix losing to Sacramento here. Post analysis: Atlanta was beaten pretty badly by a much better team. I thought home court and a rest would pump Atlanta up for the NBA champs, but Acie Law is still out and the team seems be down a little bit. Just a bad call to take Atlanta +6.5. Marquette wins easily against Oklahoma State and should be poised to keep rolling. I should've taken them straight up. Unfortunately in parlays you get no credit for the teams that win if one team loses. The Bucks took out Cleveland straight up which surprised me a bit, well quite a bit since I bet Cleveland. As good as Lebron is, the team is not really jelling like hot team would be. Now the Bucks go home tomorrow to take on the Lakers who won quite easily tonight. I'll either be on the Bucks or nothing. They're playing well right now and it's going to take alot for Kobe to win on the Bucks home court. The rest of the games in my aforementioned parlay are still in progress. Duke up by 12 in the first half right now. Dallas came back from being down by more than 20 and lead by about 7 right now in the 3rd and Phoenix hasn't started. So, getting 2 wrong when you need 100% is not good. Such is the life of betting the parlay. Good Luck. Let's try to get something good going.

GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted November 21, 2007 With the Hawks down big early, I made 2nd parlay for the evening involving the later teams. Going against the board with the Michigan State game. I like the depth of Izzo's team this year and I think UCLA is experiencing some growing pains especially with Collison on the bench injured. I like Phoenix to win in Sacramento because they are rested, Stoudamire is getting healthier, they are playing well, Sacramento won't beat 2 top teams in a row. I like Dallas to win because they dominate Toronto overall and with home court they should roll. I like Duke to win simply because I know they had such a bad year last year. Maybe not solid reasoning picking Duke, but it is only for the win, not the spread. 4 team Parlay==> Duke -330, Phoenix -350, Dallas -460, Michigan State +4.5 Loser Post game analysis: This parlay, I feel like I got completely robbed. Dallas had to overcome a 20 point deficit and came back to beat Toronto at home. That was the first of the four that finished . That put one winner in the books for me. Duke controlled their game from the beginning to end and was the 2nd winner for me in this four teamer. Phoenix was playing at about the same time as Michigan State and after getting a big lead, let it slip in the 4th quarter, but still won the game, but close. That put 3 out of the 4 as winners for me. Michigan State led by 11 at half time. Michigan State led by five with slightly over 2 minutes left after Neitzel hit a 3. I think that was at about the 2:18 marker. They allow Love to quickly penetrate, get his basket, and foul him in the next 20 seconds. Love makes the free throw making it a 2 point game. So with about 1.58 left Michigan State is hanging on to a 2 point lead. Remember Michigan State led through the whole game up to this point. Michigan State proceeded to go to Neitzel for 3 point shots which he missed. UCLA ties the game on their turn. Neitzel misses another 3 and UCLA calls a timeout which Mata, I think nails a 3 with 20 seconds left. That was the Clinker. However, the spread was still in tact since I get 4.5. So UCLA draws a foul and makes 2 free throws taking a 5 point lead. Michigan State fails to score with 5 seconds remaining and lose by 5 points. Thus losing the spread by a half a point and the whole parlay by a half of point. Add: 2 team Parlay==> Bulls +8.5(-120) & Dallas -500 LOSER (Had to add Dallas on this one to make more than a unit.) Post game analysis on the Bulls: Luol Deng missed another game, but that's not why they got creamed. This team has no heart and even worse, no direction. I picked them thinking they'd bounce back from a bad road effort , but this team is lost. I mainly made my pick on doubting Denver, and Denver proved tonight they can demolish a very poor basketball team on their home court. Bad call to take the Bulls +8.5 tonight. Not much else to say on this one. Good Luck
