spottedowl 1 Posted November 7, 2007 We are getting visitors from England and they would like to know if their MP3 player can be charged with American computer. I have a Sansa Sandisk. Is there a way to save my spot when I need to charge the battery while listening to a podcast? Lets say I'm in the middle of it, then need to charge the battery. It always goes back to the beginning of the podcast after I'm finished charging. It seems like there should be some way to book mark it.
Cdub100 3,996 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't see why not just as long as they have the correct cables
TheNewGirl 1,638 Posted November 7, 2007 As far as I know, they use the same USB cables that we do here. Microsoft rules the world, so it's probably all universal. Ask them what kind of computer they have and what kind of cables.
spottedowl 1 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't see why not just as long as they have the correct cables That was my initial thought but I got to thinking about the power difference. They use 220 and we use 110.
joneo 562 Posted November 8, 2007 That was my initial thought but I got to thinking about the power difference. They use 220 and we use 110. They need more power Jim but I'm givin' er all she'z got. Hey, aren't you a plumber? WTF do you know about electric stuff. Shut up and mind your own business. Hey, also, when sawilson hits the island...get er drunk and take naked pictures of her for me. The power coming out of the WALL may be different, but the power going into the computor is the same. That's what the brick is for in the middle of your power cable (or if you have a desktop, that's what the internal power supply does). Also the power coming out of the computor is the same. So any USB device will work with any computer that supports USB.
