Their - pronoun - a form of the possessive case of they used as an attributive adjective, before a noun: The child belonged in their group.

 

They're - contraction - they are: They're getting tired of the poor usage.

 

 

 

Effect - noun - something that is produced by an agency or cause; result; consequence: Exposure to the sun had the effect of toughening his skin.

 

Affect - verb - to act on; produce an effect or change in: Cold weather affected the crops.

Their are times when "effect" is a verb, Merriam Webster. :cry:

To be fair, this is the most creative and well-conceived approach toward a facist little SS grammar police I have observed to date; sure it is tiresome and arrogant,but I like that in a troll.... :pointstosky:

Think some geek posted this one recently, but the mistake I always make and can't seem to stop making is saying would of/could of instead of would have/could have.
