WhiteWonder 2,199 Posted September 5, 2008 betjamaica i've yet to cash out, but all the reviews i read were positive... they are a sister site of thegreek i believe. from the looks of it ill end up giving one of these sites a try.
swirvenirvin 25 Posted September 5, 2008 Yeah. I also thought it was funny when Costas said, "I know this game is out of hand, but I'm sure there are still a few people very interested... you know.. because the Giants are up by 9." I caught that too, thought it was funny
Bouve 0 Posted September 5, 2008 i checked out sportsbookreview as well as thegreek.com thegreek seems very cruedly done as a website... ofcourse this may hold no baring on their service but it doesn't seem to be anything like the nice interface of a bodog etc. sportsbookreview seems like a great tool, i wonder how much they get paid off by certain sites to give good reviews. They had oddsmaker as an F and alor of the stuff they reported about them makes me very skeptical about oddsmaker. The interface at thegreek.com is nothing special but I have yet to have an issue with it.

I also thought it was funny when Costas said, "I know this game is out of hand, but I'm sure there are still a few people very interested... you know.. because the Giants are up by 9." I think it was Al Michaels, and yes, he makes refrence to the spread almost weekly. I love it.
art schlichter's bookie 0 Posted September 5, 2008 It was Al Michaels and he ALWAYS knows what the spread is and the O/U... We got some rookie QBs starting this week and it is tempting to play against them even though they are at home. Bengals -1.5 vs. Ravens (Flacco) Detriot -3 vs. Falcons (Ryan) Cards -2 vs. SF (O'Sullivan) Those are some crap road teams to take but is it a good bet under the circustances? Probably. I feel like the Lions/Falcons game is the best bet because the Falcons have no one to take the pressure off Ryan. At least, SF has Gore and the Ravens have a supposedly good O line and defense. I also like the Bills at home -1 vs. Seahawks. Just feels like a home game that the Bills should win. Gut instinct.

WhiteWonder 2,199 Posted September 5, 2008 Bouve another Q for you about thegreek. i noticed they are offering a 21% account bonus when you first sign up but the stipulation is that money cant be taken out until the amount you deposited has been gambled 4X over. so if you deposit 200 for example you have to make 800 worth of bets win or lose before you have access to the bonus monye they give you. i don't personally care or need signup bonuses but they can be nice. how does this compare to other sites you have used as far as the stipulations go? also ive read some problems where people using other sites will win money using their own buyin cash but are not allowed to withdraw any of it because they signed up using a promotion and violated it. wouldn't want to run into a problem like this. If i win money using my original amount i want to be able to withdraw it. if i have not met any bonus stipulation they can keep their bonus offer but surely i want my own winnings. Big Blue 06 195 Posted September 6, 2008 Well, my thoughts right now are as follows: Cincinnati -1.5 vs Baltimore (38) I like Cincy here. Baltimore is a mess, they're starting a rookie QB, and they don't have Boller to back him up (maybe that's a good thing). I think the Bengals will make a big statement here and win by 10, so 1.5 is easy to lay. New York Jets -3 vs Miami (36) I'm thinking this one should be safe as well. Favre will be making his Jets debut, and while it's a division game, I don't think this one will be that close either. The Dolphins are a mess as well, they lost Jason Taylor in the offseason, new QB, pothead back running it and young receivers. I think this game will be Jets by a TD or more. Seattle vs Buffalo -1 (39) I like Seattle here. While they are missing some receivers, they always find a way to win 10 or 11 and I don't see them starting the season with a loss to the Bills. St Louis vs Philadelphia -7.5 (44) St Louis could be in for a very long season and I think that will start here. I'm looking for Philadelphia to run away with this one. I'll post my final bets tomorrow night.

People are foolish who think were still that 1-15 team. Favre will be dreading his decision to come back as a JET in WEEK 1...lol Remember this post.

I looked several places online for their schedule last year but couldn't find it but I'm sure they did not face more than one or two Division1 programs. His first few games are going to be disastrous IMO.

Pretty much every site that offers some sort of bonus has a stipulation that you must wager X amount of money before you can withdraw. This basically stops people from depositing money, getting the bonus and then cashing out without ever making a wager. In regards to the 21% at thegreek.com as soon as I made my deposit, I emailed customer support and they quickly deposited the bonus directly into my account and I was able to play with that bonus money without having to make X amounts of bets with my original deposit. EAwer 1 Posted September 7, 2008 ok my plays Buff ~pk- seattle has no good WRs or Rb. But the big thing here is traveling across 3 time zones for the first game of the season to play a tough Bills team who always put up a fight. I look for Lynch to have a big game and the Bills win by multiple scores. 23-13 Mia +3- No real reason, I just think the Jets are getting overhyped. The phins should be able to run all day. 24-21 Mia Houston +6.5- 80% of money on pitt and they wont change the spread. Pitt is not that good this year, with a flailing Oline and the worst defense theyve had in years. Houston will be able to throw the ball all day. But, Pitt should win in the end thanks to a Roethelisber-Miller TD. 27-24 BOL to everyone

phillybear 365 Posted September 9, 2008 NCAA YTD: 10-2-1; +23.4 units CFL YTD: 1-4; -4.7 units NFL YTD: 0-0; +0 units Denver (-3)@-105 for 3 units WINNER I've sat back and watched most of the games in the 1st week, and I think this is a good spot for Denver. With a few home dogs biting yesterday, I don't think Oakland can do it again. While Oakland has a respectable defense, their run defense is certainly a weakness. One that Denver will test with a large dose of very capable Selvin Young. Jay Cutler, with insulin in tow, has been given a rebirth. Brandon Marshall out? No problem, as Eddie Royal is a star about to emerge. I see no reason why Denver can't score a healthy number of points. Oakland is starting raw Jamarcus Russell. Sure, Oakland figures to have a decent running attack, but uninspired Javon Walker and mediocre Ronald Curry just don't scare anyone, and with Denver's corner, not a good matchup. So it's Oakland's running attack vs Denver's balanced attack. I feel this game is similar to Dallas/Cleveland yesterday. A high powered offense that just will have no choice but to outscore the opponent with offensive issues. Oakland played their starters a lot in game 3 of the preseason, and they got blown out at home by Arizona. Good luck to all.

phillybear 365 Posted September 9, 2008 First off your wording on this game, so eloquent as it is, was a CUT and PASTE from a Tout ( you know..a Paid Service ). I have sat back and watched your antics long enough in this short football wagering season.. sssoooooo My Play for TONIGHT is : OAKLAND RAIDERS + 3 1/2 Points ( bought the 1/2 point ) for: 25 as you say UNITS!!! If it's a cut and paste, why don't you cut and paste it here. I'll be waiting. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. Too bad I quoted your post. If your game loses, you won't be able to delete it this time. Edit: I see you pussied out of the challenge I gave you in the college thread, going pick for pick this season. Too bad. I was looking forward to it.
