PanicAttack 13 Posted September 6, 2008 I am just not in love with this team at all... PPR 1pt/ 10 rush-20 rec 1q 2r 3w 1t 1k 1d. RB MBIII McGahee/Rice Kevin Smith Edge WR Wayne Bowe Driver J. Walker K. Walter Trade Edge for Colston or Holt. The other team is WEAK at RB (Westy and 3 backup RBs, Slaton,Ward,Hall). This leaves me thin at RB but what the hell I am not strong at either position. I guess I can throw in Driver if I needed to but I think that is too much imo Whatcha think? Thanks in advance...Leave link if you want

Troy's Boy's 0 Posted September 6, 2008 I actually think you are decent at RB... I'm not a believer that Kevin Smith's value is going to be hampered much by Rudi. Rudi is just there to spell Smith. I love MBIII this year... expect Felix to be a smaller roll than Jones was (though more effective) and MBIII will be a top 5 RB this year. I also feel that Edge is going to be a solid #3 for you as well. Hightower is going to steal some goal-line carries, but not this week because of his fumbles in the preseason. Wait until after Edge and ARI torch SF, when Edge's value is at it's highest to make a trade. You might be able to get Colston then. I think Holt will be solid, but he's not the old Holt he used to be. McGahee/Rice will be Rice's job before too long, mark my words. and the Ravens will need to run the ball to have any kind of offense this year. With your scoring system (1 pt/20 yds receiving) you don't need to have stud WRs as much as stud RBs... (expect ARI to throw to Edge a little more this year too to help the old man stay healthy... at Indy, he was awesome out of the back-field) but, since you have to start 3 WRs it would help you to get one more top 20 WR. Wayne and Bowe are going to be good this year... If it were me, I'd stick with your RBs for a week or two and see if you can play the match-ups with your #3 WR. But Cotchery would be the one I would target if you felt by then that you needed another WR.
TORAIDER 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Bigtime. Do that if you can pull it off. +1, like he said, do it if it's possible. Colston & Holt are way more valuable in a PPR. EDGE may conceed goal line carries to Hightower, which diminishes his value even more.
hadji 0 Posted September 6, 2008 If you can get Colston for Edge I would do that in a heartbeat. You actually are pretty good at RB and losing Edge doesn't hurt you (I actually think he'll be a bust this year). You would upgrade your WR corps significantly by adding Colston. If you can get that deal, pull the trigger. Help me out: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=322210

Craig 0 Posted September 6, 2008 I would definitely trade Edge for Colston or Holt (in that order). You are fine at RB without Edge and your WRs would be so much stonger.
MarcM85 0 Posted September 6, 2008 No disagreement here - colston first, then holt. Strange scoring system - favors TD catching WRs bigtime - thats why Bowe is a solid WR3. Thanks for the advice
sdc90291 0 Posted September 6, 2008 personally, I don't like to pull any trades for at least a couple of weeks to see how everyone does against competition and not just what the "experts" think. BUT, if you're going to pull the trigger, I'd pull it for Colston, and then drop Walter and pick up Hightower...

Holt will be a victim of a poor Rams offense with Bulger taking hits, sacks, and int. I also am not convinced his offensive line can stay healthy as well especially Pace. I think Barber, Smith, Mcgahee or a good group to have. Edge is going to have a tough time keeping Hightower from stealing carries in that offense and is expendable. Good luck. Thanks for mine
Madler 6 Posted September 6, 2008 I would do it. Colston is a stud. I think Edge will not be the man soon in Cardinal land anyway. Remember the name....Hightower. See mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=322219
tazman01 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Colston if you can pull it off for edge, if not holt. I'm not big on edge this year. Thanks for mine.
KRSP70 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Do it for Colston--you can afford to get rid of edge and the upside to you is hugeeeeeeeee.... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=322224
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Sorry to say but there is no way you pull off Edge for Colston. It would be difficult to even go Edge for Holt. Edge is on his last legs with a young, powerful Hightower backing him up. IMO Edge's value is probably at his highest right now because the season hasn't started yet. Again that's just my opinion so maybe you have somebody in your league who likes him and would trade for him. Have you put him on the block? You colud probably trade him for Coles. zachy35 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Edge for Colston if it is available. Colston will be one of the top 5 wide receivers this year with one of the best passing teams in the league http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=322237
