celloshane 0 Posted September 18, 2008 Current Roster: Roethlisberger, Farve Fitz, Holt, S Moss, Stallworth, Colston, James Hardy, Ben Utecht Gore, Fred Taylor, Justin Fargas, Kenny Watson Folk NYG Def We start QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, WR/T, WR/R, K, and DEF with standard scoring. This is 14 team league that competes both points and head to head, but points pays out better. I have to pay for each pickup, so I'd like to keep keep them to a minimal overall. However, if I have to make a lot of changes now to be in a better position overall, that's a price I'm willing to pay. At the moment I'm looking at dropping Stallworth Hardy, Utecht, Fargas, and Watson. I think I'll be picking up Micheal Bush, Justin Gage, Maurice Morris, DEN Def, and **. (** is either Robert Royal, John Carlson, or Jamaal Charles. I'm not sure who the best investment is.) So, keeping in mind that the goal is a more stable team overall; do these moves accomplish that for me? And who's the best **?
therandyratio 0 Posted September 18, 2008 Micheal Bush, Justin Gage, Maurice Morris yes justin gage is sick. better than stally who is banged up Ur RB's are horrible but in a 14 team league ur WR's are decent Fred Taylor as a RB2 is bad though! what happened pick those three guys up

schonas1 0 Posted September 18, 2008 I'd drop Utecht, Stallworth & Hardy Pick up Carlson, Gage & Bush
Vetman 0 Posted September 18, 2008 Drop Utech, Stallworth and Hardy But I would pick up Bush, Gage and Carlson. With MM still having some knee issues, and Carlson getting more looks than the WRs in Seattle, I would go with Carlson over MM. Please help with mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324679
akaoni 0 Posted September 18, 2008 I agree with many of the above posters. You are weak at RB so don't dump Fargas just because he's banged up. I'd hang on to Watson as well. With Perry's injury history he's one cracked bone or blown out knee from being the starter for the rest of the year. Instead let some of your dead weight go at WR and TE and find the best players available. I'm in agreement, that Stallworth, Hardy, and Utecht should be the first to go. I'm also in agreement about picking up M. Bush and Gage (although I think he might be a bit banged up himself). I'd probably grab Morris over Carlson. I think Mo has more potential stability and could stay in your lineup longer. Carlson's effectiveness might drop sharply after the week 4 bye when Branch and Engrahm return. Also, I'm not big on the Denver D, unless points allowed don't matter in your scoring system. They may have a good match up or two (Kansas City looks choice this year), but a leaky D has a way of making even the most incompetent offense look great. Atlanta's performance against Detroit is a great example of this. Anyway, there's my $0.02. Thanks for the response.
celloshane 0 Posted September 18, 2008 Thanks guys. To clarify, the Denver D is only to cover NYG's bye week in Week 4.
MarcM85 0 Posted September 18, 2008 Wait to week 4 then to pick up a Defense, no need to do it now. Drop Utecht, Hardy, pick up Carlson and Bush. Wait a couple weeks on Stallworth - he could put up big numbers, and I am not a believer in Gage. Morris would be an okay pickup, but I dont think its worth dropping Stallworth for, particularly because Julius Jones looks real good running the ball right now. Good luck, thanks for mine. Gage is good for 5 fouls 0 points 10 rebounds and 2 blocks so I guess it depends on how your league scores those stats.

broncosfan24 0 Posted September 19, 2008 Thanks for responding to mine. I think the Denver D would be a good move, for now, who knows if we can keep it up though. Second, I would hold onto Watson and Fargas. I've got Watson on another team, I think he will be pretty good, once he is healthy, and hopefully him and Cassell have some chemisty. Fargas is good, though I hate him, I think he will do well, once he is 100% healthy again as well.
WhiteWonder 2,738 Posted September 19, 2008 why the denver d? wait until the ginats bye and pick up a D playing a shitty team.. unless denver is i have not looked at the scedule.. pick up gage, morris, bush and i say carlson.. i know you dont HAVE to start a TE but unless one of the recent signings pans out in seattle he could be getting a lot of looks for the next 4-5 weeks. ff07 2 Posted September 19, 2008 Drop Utecht, Stallworth, Hardy. Utecht stinks, Stallworth is always hurt, and Hardy is too unproven on an inconsistent passing offense Pick UP Royal, Bush, and Carlson. We know what Royal can do, Bush may be a starter eventually depending on injuries, and Carlson is the only option on a typically pass first offense Thanks for mine!
