SteelMan7 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Non-PPR, standard scoring , 12 team league. Here is my roster..... qb/ Ben , Edwards rb/ Barber , Turner , C.Johnson , D.Williams , B.Jackson wr/ Wayne , Calvin Johnson , V.Jackson , J.Walker , Ginn te/ Miller , Baker dst/ Cowboys , Packers k/ Lindell I am in talks with a team that has Lynch as their #1 and pretty much nothing behind him. He likes Turner, and D.Williams would be better depth than anything he currently has. If he accepted Turner/Williams for Lynch , should I do it ? Turner has been great for me so far , really helped to get me to 3-0. I worry that his production will drop considerably when their schedule gets tougher and I imagine on a bad team like that they may be playing from behind quite often. Lynch is obviously on the better team and I believe will be more consistent for me. What do you guys think ? Barber/Lynch/C.Johnson vs. Barber/Turner/C.Johnson
dighead 0 Posted September 25, 2008 It is a toss-up. RB strength of schedule for weeks 4-14: #7 BUF #8 ATL I would probably go with Lynch because it is the better team.

I think it is a toss-up but that fact that you would have to give up Williams as well who could put up decent numbers if J. Stewart gets hurt, makes me say that you should stick with what you have. dpollaro 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I would do it and go with Lynch although i do like turner i think lynch is the real deal plus he is on a better OL and better team please check mine link
Cstriker 2 Posted September 25, 2008 I vote for consistency over flash. I think turner will still end up with decent numbers over all, but will let you down on a close game. Lynch can be depended on consistently putting up a touch down and good 50-100 yds most games. So i'd take lynch.
gundy89 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I love Lynch. Do it and don't look back. Your RBs would be complete studs! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=326012

Lynch is obviously on the better team and I believe will be more consistent for me. What do you guys think ? Barber/Lynch/C.Johnson vs. Barber/Turner/C.Johnson I'd say Lynch because his schedule is very soft and his offense's passing game is developing, which will only help to take the pressure off him. Also, he's been very consistent and his D will probably keep the team from falling behind often and having to pass a lot. Turner has blown up against bad teams and done the opposite facing good teams. His passing game and D aren't as good as those around Lynch. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=326019 -- help me?
SteelMan7 0 Posted September 25, 2008 thanks for the last couple responses guys. I am really struggling with this one. I dont mind packaging Williams with Turner. He has done nothing so far and Stewart is getting all the goal line. Williams would never start over my current 3 backs anyway , so you figure he would only see my starting lineup in a bye week or due to injury of one of my studs. I guess im nervous to mess with my success so far but I do agree that Lynch would be more consistent plus he just flat out plays on a better team. Im torn but leaning towards making the trade for Lynch. Anybody care to finish the job and get me off the edge of this cliff and just do it !!!!!
uwmalcolm 74 Posted September 26, 2008 I would probably do it. Turner's stats will come down, and there's no reason Lynch's should. He has a cupcake schedule. Williams is the price you have to pay. One thing to check on would be the foot injury that Stewart supposedly developed today...he was listed as a limited participant in practice. If that's serious, and I doubt it is, Williams' value obviously goes up. You could also see if you can get another player in return in this trade...someone who'd be better than the person you'd pick up with your extra roster spot after doing this 2 for 1 deal. G-String 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Wait a week on that one. We will all find out about Turner this week is he for real or a match up back.
DeGarmo2 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Lynch. Definitely Lynch. Trade Turner now if you can. So many reasons why. 1) Lynch is on a much better team that likes to run it. He will be able to grind it out more and have more opportunities. Turner's Falcon will be losing most games and forced to pass. 2) Turner has played 3 games. Week 1 - Lit up the Lions. Great game, but c'mon.. it's the Lions. Week 2 - Got shut down by the Bucs Week 3 - Lit up the Chiefs. Again, nice game, but it was the Chiefs. The Falcons have played 2 of their weakest opponents all year. Expect things for Turner to be tougher the rest of the year. He is probably at his highest sell point right now that he'll be at all year. 3) Weeks 15 and 16. Turner plays the Bucs (who already shut him down) in week 15 and then the best run defense in the league, the Vikings. Lynch plays the Jets in week 15 and then the awful Broncos D in week 16. If you are looking forward to winning in the fantasy playoffs, Lynch is the way to go. Sell Turner high now.
philly_fakeout 0 Posted September 26, 2008 i would definitely do it. Lynch is the go-to guy in Buffalo. A lot of the offense is around him and when they are close to the endzone they look to him to punch it in. Do it and don't worry
AoO 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Thanks for mine. I have Turner as well, and I have toyed with the sell high idea quite a bit. Short of telling you what to do, I've decided to stick it out with Turner, at least for the time being.
Michael123 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Lynch! Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=326226
rspark23 0 Posted September 26, 2008 Take Lynch! Great schedule for the season. Better team. Shown he can grind out the yards. He's a BEAST. I've liked Turner too but I'd much rather have Lynch. He won't be as flashy but I'll take 80 boring yds and a score a week vs 150 yds one week and 50 the next. Turner is going to be up and down all season. only a guess 0 Posted September 27, 2008 Lynch is better for consistent points. Turner is great against bad competition, and his easy schedule was front loaded. Also, agree with feedback below that you should trade Turner while his avg fantasy points per game are on a all time high. mine - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=326238
fostersfutbol 1 Posted September 27, 2008 thanks for mine. I'd do it. Lynch will be better later in season and you have the depth.
Fantasy Noob 10 Posted September 27, 2008 Sell high on Turner, Lynch has one of the easiest rushing schedules this season as well.
