The Vikings seem to have developed the mindset that since people stack 8-9 defenders on the line, they must throw. So they throw, and throw, and throw.

 

The problem is, by throwing so much, they remove their best offensive weapon from the game. They do the defense a favor by abandoning the run.

 

I understand Gus is a better passer, and in fairness he does help move the chains, but the Vikings seriously need to commit to running the football more often.
