the_risen_demon 0 Posted June 13, 2009 It's not decent. You can't even see decent from where that offer is. You're giving up the two best players in the deal, maybe even the best three. As someone said in one of your other trade threads, just relax. You're coming off as desperate to make a deal and everyone in your league is lining up to fleece you. Wait for a real offer that sincerely makes your team better, or just stand pat. You need running backs, sure, but Parker and White are not going to lead your team to the promised land, and their long term outlook is worse still.

Nitsugua 0 Posted June 13, 2009 To give you a better idea of Bradys value. My 5 keepers before my trade were Brady, Westbrook, Hightower, Chambers & Witten. I traded Brady away and my new 5 are Mcnabb, Westbrook, Jacobs, Braylon Edwards and Antonio Bryant. I couldn't say no to that value going into the new year. krizay 0 Posted June 13, 2009 wow! just wow! If you think this trade is decent. There is no hope for you.

Ray Rice and DWill was on the table. 2 seperate trades which didn't include you giving the same players. You have the ammunition. You have owners willing to part with solid young RB's. You just have no clue what the hell you're doing. You should have countered both offers with minor tweakage in your compensation. Then you would be sitting pretty in the future while still be competitive this year.

Just showing those that were in my other threads these are the types of crap trades i get offered and i counter and people send this horse crap....I know it is all because I traded Stephen Jones for Gates, Anthony Gonzalez and a 1st round draft pick I used for Maclin. The closest deal I got that I would take is DeAngelo Williams and Romo and a 1st rounder for Brady, Galloway and Boss He has countered with all the same except changing Gates for Boss. I meant to put at the bottom that I was being sarcastic but that is why I do not make trades when I am drunk....

After following this and your last post.......I think you really need a time out. Take a step back. You posted the below post a few days ago.....MFM gave you solid advice within an hour to pull the trigger. Then a couple of days later.....this trade was no longer on the table. Fine. I would not be anxious to immediately discuss a trade with this owner if he pulled it the next day. *************************** Post #51 FF Rookie Group: Members Posts: 31 Joined: 6-June 09 Member No.: 133422 I just got this counter: Either Portis/Betts or Grant/Jackson and Choice with a Number 1 pick next year I give up Gates, Gonzalez, and Hightower. ************************************ *When you get an offer like the one above, I would suggest you tell your trading partner to submit the offer on your website for your consideration. Tell him that you will accept or reject the next day. I would then consider the board opinions, particularly MFM, who has given you good advice. I believe your objective at this time should be to keep Brady, and upgrade your RB #1. The above trade getting Portis/Betts accomplished this thinking. Yeah that is my objective but this trade has been taken off the table. DeAngelo Williams is ranked 4th or 5th in most rankings and is youner than Portis and is in a walk year. The Guy asked for Gates and Maclin for Williams and Bennett now

I would try and re-offer the Romo,DWill and 1st round trade. How you let this deal go is mind boggling.
WhiteWonder 2,682 Posted June 13, 2009 seriously. teams in your league are trying to take advantage of you as a new owner / one who has already made a bad trade. hit the pause button or at the very least, stand up for yourself. Tell the people offering these trades that its going to take more than that plain and simple. If they want your best players (Brady, Gates) they will have to give you fair value or more than fair value when you count younger promising players. each trade you label as "decent" seems to be worse and worse than the last one. you also need to stop looking at trades in terms of turing around and trading the players you receive. just because you think you can move willie parker and jake delhomme (news flash, they rnt very valuable in a dynasty) after you get them doesn't make the trade any better for you. The end result will be no stars and a team full of mediocre players no one else wanted. ***also, the Jackson trade could turn out ok. At least you got a top TE, an up and coming young WR and a pick you used on a highly touted rookie WR. If Maclin pans out it could be a fine trade. On paper it looks kinda bad but don't make a bunch of flippant deals because of it.

The guy asked for Gates and Maclin for Williams and Bennett now If you need this board to tell you to make this trade FAST, you are beyond hope. I once read a story of the little boy who cried "wolf". You can find it in any children's library. This is my last response to any of your trade 'offers' (or non-offers, as the case may be.) You do not need this board to run your team for you - nor do I or many others care to do it for you no mo'. You need to learn how to make decisions on your own. Start to read everything you can from this site, from Rotoworld, FBGs and everywhere else you can find information ......except fantasy football mags which are out of date as soon as they are printed, and they are far from the way the truth and the light of Fantasy Football. When you have to ask what Gates is worth, it shows you don't have a clue. ANY PLAYER is worth EXACTLY what you and a trading partner agree he's worth. How much worth is a 29 yo TE who's production has slipped from a high 4 years ago EVERY year since, but is still considered the #2 rated TE. To me, that is obviously a "sell high" situation. Where do you find out info on all the players? Rotoworld or even a google search for starters. Become a 'lurker' here for awhile instead of a poster. You are not ready to post until you are ready to make thoughtful contributions. Nobody really cares any more about all your trade possibilities, and by the time you get a 'consensus' here (which you will NEVER get anyway) the offer has evaporated. Claro? (I did not like the trade you first listed on this thread as I posted earlier). But as MFM posted, I believe getting D.Wil & Bennett for Gates & Maclin makes your team better. Although I don't normally like to consider the aggregate of several trades..... getting D.Wil & Bennett by giving Gates & Maclin effectively means you gave up S.Jax to get D.Wil, A.Gonzo, Bennett. Not a bad trade in it's own right. As MFM suggested, your personal likes and dislikes for the players on your roster is all that matters. No other persons' value system should totally replace your own. Good luck.
Dr. Octopus 0 Posted June 16, 2009 I can trade Parker and Delhomme to other teams. I bet you can't. Parker has some value but you will not get much for him in a dynasty, Delhomme will get a a ham sammich (if you're lucky).

I give Gonzalez, Hightower and Ed Reed (batlling a neck injury) and Get Rice, Choice and Colie (or a 2nd round pick) To be fair I'm not in IDP leagues so I'm not sure exactly what Reed is worth in one (from what I undertsand not every great NFL defenisve player is a great fantasy player) but this deal looks like one you should seriously consider. I don't see Hightower being a factor down the road and Rice and Choice are two young backs I really like.
